Our pool cage was damaged during Hurricane *** and we hired Red Rover Home Services to re-screen the cage. Less than 5 months later the screen is falling out on the roof panels. When I contacted the company owner I was told that the problem was with the materials and that he would not provide any warranty for my pool cage. Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated to have spent money for very shoddy work and then to be told that it wasn't his problem.I had two different companies come out to evaluate the problem and give me an estimate. It turns out that Red Rover Home Services used the wrong spline for the ceiling panels and they will all have to be replaced!! This isn't an issue with materials. Rather this is an issue with workmanship! And a company taking advantage of people during such a difficult time. I am going to have to pay for the same job to be done again.I have learned my ******* I will never again deal with this company. They can't be trusted and are only out to rip you off!!!! My recommendation........STAY AWAY!!!!!Business response

Material worked on many other jobs. No complaints.Can't trace such large products like spline. But guaranteed by many that bad/old batches do get overlooked and slip through.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I have had three other companies come out to see what the problem with the cage is. They all agreed that the problem is not the quality of the materials. The problem is the fact that the spline used on the roof of our cage was not suitable for our cage. It did not fit. They were appalled that someone would use it anyway because they should have known better.
The correct type of spline was used on the walls of the cage but not on the roof. Its interesting that the wrong type was only used where we could not see. The screen started falling out of the panels within a month of installation. I informed the company, but they never showed up to repair it. When the wind blew, multiple screen panels started to come out.I am attaching photos of:
- the spline that was used and the spline that should have been used. Notice that they are quite different!
- an entire panel flapping.
- the spline coming out and therefore the screen is coming loose. The entire roof is like this.
I have quite a few more photos that were taken by the contractors that came out.
The job was not done properly. I should not have to pay for the same job a second time. It was not old materials or whatever other excuse you want to use. It was careless and shoddy work!
