7/01/2021 contracted with Rob B. to replace damaged front frame and door with one of their doors. In September he called and made an appt for 9/20. His employee removed the door trim when he hurt himself and had to leave. I called Quality Door and was told there was no one available. I insisted I had no door and Mr B. came and nailed up the hole with cardboard and plywood. After many calls he finally sent some one over to install the door. There is a gap between the door and trim that can be open with a screwdriver or any other metal object. After calling Quality Door and getting no response, I contacted Charlotte County Code and was told they could not do anything. I have called with no answer and he calls but when I pick up the phone it is hung up. I think this is just to prove he has tried to contact me. The workmanship is not up to par and Rob B. does not appear to care. I paid $1742.99 in full. I am 84 and have a 88 year old sister w/dementia I need HelpBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/10/21) */ On 9/16/21 while installing Ms. ****'s door The installer hurt his knee and was unable to complete the installation. I explained to her that I did not have another installer available so I had to secure the opening with plywood. Ms. **** was okay with this. I was not able to hire another installer right away. I tried to stay in touch the the homeowner about the situation. The installation was completed on 9/22/21. Ms. **** was okay with the install and paid. Homeowner called a day later about a gap between door and sidelite. I went out to look at the issue and assured the customer that it would be taken care of and the door was secure. I explained that I was still having an issue with installer. The problem has been resolved and I called the homeowner to confirm that she was okay with resolution and she said that she was okay. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2021/10/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) First of all, I have never said it was okay. Second I paid because his installer put the bill in front of me. I still have not approved this installation. The County has not approved it because the door will not lock. Two County Inspectors have failed this Installation .and I as the homeowner have not approved the Installation. This is ongoing and Rob B. has been contacted by the County
