The date of the Transaction was on February 9, 2022. The amount of the Transaction was $726.00. The Business promised to provide me a full set of hair Extensions that would not be detectable and would blend perfectly with my natural hair. After a one-hour Consultation in which I explained to owner that I have been using Tape-ins for several years due to the fact that m hair is very fine in texture. She advised me she was a Distributer of Belami I-Tips and that would be better for my hair. She receives a bigger discount on the Belami as she advised me that she is a Distributor for Bellami hair extensions. After my appointment with her and she said the Installation was complete I was in shock, as I had a long mane of hair going down my back and a few sparse pieces on the side. I told her that I didn't think it was enough hair and that it looked like I had a Mullet Hair style. She then began to take pieces of hair from the back to install them on the sides of my head. The I-Tips Rings were completely visible. She had asked me to pay her in advance for the hair, which I did. This woman had claimed to be a "Christian". I trusted her to be honest. Upon leaving her salon she asked me to call her personally and she would "help me" if I needed anything. I guess this was As Opposed to leaving an honest review of how she was dishonest and did not provide what she promised. She knew how bad they looked. She texted me a day later to see if my hair was "okay". I explained to her that the sides were very sparse and the few extensions she installed on the sides had bulging Rings that were completely visible. I told her I would come in to show her. When I went in she was with another customer. I told her I could wait. She said she would talk to me while doing her customers hair. When she looked at my hair she said "oh I didn't realize your hair is so thin". Her first resolution was the she would Remove the extensions and would not "charge" me the $75.00 it costs for removal.

      Business response

      06/30/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/06/13) */ This client came in with a budget for extensions, She only wanted to purchase 3 bags per her request of I-tips. I let her know she would need 4-5 bags. Once installed she asked if I could add more to her top and sides, which I had to take from the bottom row I already installed. I let her know that she would see the beads and even took my blow dryer and showed her with wind you will see them. She said she would style her hair to hide the beads. I was very thorough in consultation which took over an hour. I gave her several options to give her the best options for her very thin and short hair. I worked with her budget. I always message my clients within a week because I care about them, so when I messaged her to see if she wanted to purchase more hair as she needed it, she came in and showed me the beads on top were showing. I went over this before she even left my chair, that it was going to show and used my blow dryer to even demonstrate this. She was very aware the beads would show. There is no refunds on hair purchased, but I did offer her a refund of my labor but she would need to come in and let me remove the extensions. You can not get a refund and continue to wear the extensions. She ignored my message to refund her the labor fee. I even offered if she purchased the special tape-ins she wanted ( I do not have these tape-ins she wanted) I would install complimentary. I offered this not because she deserved the refund or free services, but because it wasn't worth my peace to continue to receive 16 page text messages and certified letters over $200. She wore them for 3 months! It is normal for a couple beads to shed during the 3 months. I have before and after's as well to show the major change in her hair. Due to this client wearing the extensions for 3 months she will not get a refund. She received the service and hair she paid for. Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/06/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) As per the certified letter that said owner, Sandra C., received (which is attached) and she ignored. I never mentioned a budget when I had my consultation. I did tell her that I preferred Tape-in extensions and that I had been wearing them for years. I am new to Florida and I was interviewing Extentionist's to find one that had experience with Tape-ins. I advised her that I suffer with alopecia and I DO NOT use any styling products in my hair and I only use OlaPlex, which is a high end and very expensive Hair Care line. She is a distributor of the I-tips hair extensions that she pushed on me and promised me they would be undetectable. (she pays very little for them and I guess her monetary gain was more important then anything. She told me how much hair I would need. When she completed my hair I had a MULLET! When I told her that I was not happy she began to remove hair from the back of my head. As I was leaving and almost in tears she asked me to contact her directly, as opposed to leaving a review. She texted me the next day, I told her my hair looked very unprofessional. After spending $750 two days before, her remedy was to remove the extensions and (and she would keep them, probably to reuse them) and give me $200.00 back. She charged me over $300.00 to install them. (she also said I could always spend another $300.0n for Tape-ins at my own cost). Which meant I spent $500.00 for nothing. I did not give her the satisfaction of robbing $500.00 because she lied about her services. I never answered her text. I sent the certified letter. one month and a half has passed with no response, hence my BBB Complaint. Her response here is completely dishonest. Her LIES: 1. She never said the beads would be noticeable. 2. Saying I would use Styling products to cover the beads, I distinctly told her I DO NOT use styling products because of the alopecia. 3.That I said I was on a budget 4. I only left her two short texts 5.Stating I wore the extensions for 3 months.* I Never spoke to her again that doesn't mean I wore them. She Lies. I had to wear them for Two weeks with a cap on before finding and having them removed by a Real Extentionist that said it was the worst job she ever seen and the extensions did not look brand new, they were probably used. I will be filking a complaint with Bellami also. Sandra C. is a DISHONEST woman and fabricated this entire response in order to cover her DISHONESTY. Finally, God knows the TRUTH. During our consultation she spoke about how she is a "Christian". Most likely her Angle to get people to trust her. Proverbs 10:2-5 states: Ill gotten gain turns to nothing. When you rob other people it comes back to you. I never thought she would do the Right and Honest thing here considering how she handled it thus far and the many bad reviews she has on her Salons website. I pass her salon almost daily for work. The lot is always empty. She's already being paid-back for her dishonesty and theft. I am content that I may be able to Help the next Innocent customer who trusts her. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/06/20) */ Photos will prove she did NOT take her extensions out, she continued to wear them! This client is just trying to bully and scare us with her threats. We did everything professional and would never treat a client the way she's portraying. Please see dates on photos to prove she is lying about removing the extensions. She continued to wear them and even took a selfie on Feb 8th the day I did the extensions loving her hair ! I also attached a before picture so you can see the HUGE a difference. Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2022/06/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) As per the owners response, I never said she removed the Extensions. After she promised me a full set of extensions I was left with a Mullet until I told her I was not happy. That's when I brought this to her attention she began removing extensions from the back of my head to put them on the sides. The rings she used were visible. Her resolution to the problem was to remove them herself and keep them, and return $200.00. I had just spent $726.00 two days before. I never responded to the text and instead wrote her a 2 1/2 page letter of all the facts. she ignored it. I then had no other choice but to file my honest complaint with the BBB. As I stated in my complaint that I waited two weeks to find a real Professional to remove them and have new ones installed. I never bullied or threatened her or anyone. I simply filed a complaint. I never spoke to her again. More proof she lies. I filed my complaint in order to warn other consumers of her dishonesty. Which his my Right as a Consumer. When I left my honest review on Google her response was to completely lie about the facts of this ordeal. She said I wrote a six page letter and many other dishonest statements. I replied by posting the 2 1/2 page letter proving she lies. Her response here is further proof that she manipulates and lies to cover her dishonesty. She just keeps digging a bigger hole for herself which is further proof she cannot be trusted. I'm Thankful actualy. Yes, I did keep them in for approximately two weeks and wore a cap to hide the rings that were visible until I found an expert who removed them and installed the correct hair extensions for my hair type. Which I stated in my complaint. I had requested these when I went to her city Tribe Salon in the first place but because has no experience with them she lied and said the I-tips would be good for me. Its is very apparent from my complaint here and how she responded she manipulates to cover her dishonesty.
