Date of transaction: 8-10-2023 Amount paid to business: $82 paid in full Invoice # ***** (attached as support doc)What the business committed to provide to me was : ** Unit Maintenance. Nature of dispute: once maintenance was completed, I paid for the service, Technician left our house. Immediately after his departure, the ** stopped working, temperature went up to 85 degrees and a foul smell filled our home. Up until that maintenance visit, we had never experience any problems with our ****** 2022 ** UNIT. I immediately called *******, the secretary and explained the problem, she stated no one would be able to come on 8-10-2023, but someone would be send on the next day 8-11-2023. We left our house and had to find shelter for the night due to the heat and smell inside the house. Whether or not business tried to resolve the problem: On 8-11-2023 Technician ****** returned and immediately located the source of the problem. He showed me how when he moved the ** unit to clean it, the duct fell off and that caused the lack of cold air and smell. He reconnected the duct and problems solved, cold air & no smell. Technician, made no mention of a bill or charge for the visit to fix his mistake.On Thursday 8-17-2023, A bill for $225 Invoice # ***** (attach as support doc) arrived, itemized as follows: 1 lb of freon = $75 if ** unit needed Freon, then why not refill it on 8-10-2023 during maintenance visit? This charge I will not dispute.$150 for fixing the duct issue, an issue he caused to begin with and that was not present previous to his maintenance visit. This charge I dispute.Called the office and talked to *******. Her explanation, this was my fault because the ducts were too short and needed to be changed. The ** worked before their visit and to blame ducts for a unit professionally installed and registered on 2022 (registration attached as support doc) sounds like a sorry excuse to charge a loyal client for a tech's error.Business response
