The initial date that the contract was signed to remove a section of my driveway and front sidewalk was April 10, 2023. The cement was poured on June 8, 2023. The amount paid for the work was $10,400. The company committed to completing the job to my satisfaction and warrantying the work for one year. Within a very short period of time I noticed that water pooled in one area on the driveway because the concrete on the driveway was not poured level, as it was previously level before the work began. In addition, there are unsightly huge stains and discoloration in the same area. I was told that it would take time to dry and the stains and discoloration would go away. Months later, the pooling of water and discoloration has not gone away. Another excuse was that I caused the discoloration problem by watering the driveway, which I did not do. Another problem that needs to be resolved is that the driveway has a 1/2 inch crack that occurred after the driveway was poured. The owner has promised me time and time again that he would take care of the problems but there has been no action. My records show that I have made countless attempts to contact the owner to resolve the problems. My last communication with the owner was September 17, 2023. At that time he said, "I will set something up." I still haven't heard from him. In addition, the workers made a huge mess. There were spatters of cement everywhere and in places that were not close to the area where the concrete was poured. In took many attempts to get the owner back to my house to clean up all the splatters. My front porch is still covered with splatters of cement. I tried for two weeks to get the owner to return to clean up and he finally stopped by to cleanup. The owner also posted pictures of my property on his ******** page. He has had his family and possibly his friends make positive comments about the work on my property when, to my knowledge, they have not inspected the driveway.
