I hired RK Services in March 2023 to remove the popcorn on my ceilings and paint them using a knockdown texture and to paint the walls. I live in ** and had this work done to my apartment in *******. I was down in ** to supervise the work but unfortunately it wasn't completed before I left even though I was told it would be completed prior to my scheduled departure. RK Services left large areas on the dining room ceiling that were missing knockdown texture and they promised to fix it. I came back to NY and trusted they would fix the issue after I had left. Instead they did a patch job resulting in three large stains to the ceiling-as shown in the pics. They were paid prior to anyone seeing the repair because I left the balance I owed in a check with my elderly father who lives upstairs and is handicap. The owner approached my father to be paid the balance and he gave them the check on 4/6/2023. When I came back down to ** in Sept, I saw the ceiling had discolored paint as if someone had patched the ceiling. I contacted RK and sent pictures. They promised to fix it and never showed up at the scheduled time. Unfortunately, I had to leave ******* again and told them I would be back again in the future. They said no problem, I'm waiting. I contacted them again in Dec and told them I was coming back down and I wanted the ceiling fixed. The owner came to the apartment in Dec when I wasn't there and saw I was having my kitchen renovated. The owner told me that his guy never left the ceiling discolored and that he is not responsible for the repair. He blamed the new contractor for the stains. The new contractor never touched the ceiling in dining room. I told him the work on the kitchen just started in late Oct and I had contacted him before in Sept about the issue. He said its not my responsibility my guy didnt do it. He stopped responding to my text messages to come rectify the problem which still exists.
