They booted my legally parked car, and damaged the wheel and rim. I had to be somewhere, so I paid it, thinking maybe I parked wrongly. When I paid it online at ****, the guy came in 10 minutes in some random car and removed the boot, exposing the damage. I asked him why I was booted, and he told me, he booted me for my parking pass being 2023. I contacted the Airbnb host, and he assured me that it was illegal. He later confirmed this with the property management company. I called City Booting and politely inquired about the damage, and the owner was very rude. I simply asked, " who can I speak to about some possible damage to my car?" And his reply was, "you speak to your f*"#@ing lawyer". I paid $105 for an illegal booting, and now have to pay $600 for a new wheel. These people should have their operating license revoked. On their website, it says " bonded and insured", but if you ask them to help you when they cause damage, they cuss you out. I'm a disabled veteran, on a fixed income, it's unjust that they are allowed to do business in your town with that behavior.

I am the City Booting representative who booted and un-booted this vehicle.  City Booting is under contract to boot vehicles in violation of the community parking regulations on the communities private property. This violator rented an AirBnB and he signed an AirBnB contract which clearly states he must abide by the community parking regulations - one of which is no parking on the street since the streets are narrow and if may impede access to emergency and/or trash removal vehicles.  This vehicle was not booted for an expired pass as he states (although I did point out to him his pass was expired).  He was booted for parking in the street. Booting vehicles in this community is 100% legal unlike the claims this vehicle owner stated. We have been in business over 8 years, do you really think what we do is illegal? Furthermore, when he called back and said his vehicle was damaged (I assumed he was talking about a tire rim) I did not say "speak to your f*"#@ing lawyer".  I did not use fowl language. I did tell him if he feels he has a legal claim to "speak to your lawyer" as I know our boots do not damage rims because they are rubber tipped.  Over 8 years we have never damaged a rim. Instead of talking to a lawyer he should talk to his maker about his serial fabrications?

I am rejecting this response because:
This is not the same guy I talked to on the phone. They caused $1400 in damages to my car, and when I called the guy I spoke to had a completely different voice. The older guy who took the boot off said " I booted you because your pass is expired." I didn't rent the Airbnb, it was rented for me for 7 weeks of training. I wasn't aware of any policies. I contacted the host, and he said that.i shouldn't have been booted, and that this company "City Booting" is a complete scam. I have the screenshots to prove the conversation. These people damaged my car and and couldn't even be bothered to talk about it. The guy who answered the phone was absolutely rude and disrespectful. All they did was take advantage of a disabled veteran, steal money *****, and damage my car. How can a business be licensed and insured, but if there's a problem, their answer is to go f yourself. And lastly, what does the owner mean by mean by referring to my "maker"? Is he making death threats to me? I called the police on them once already, I'll do it again if he's insinuating that he will "send me to my maker" . You should revoked this person's business license
      Sincerely,

This is the same guy you talked to on the phone who booted and unbooted your vehicle. I have also been a Supervisor at City Booting for 8 years. You were booted because you were parked on the street and that's what I told you when I first arrived to un-boot your vehicle. It was not until after the boots were removed and you started to pull away that I noticed that your pass was expired and I stopped you and told you that you should tell the Airbnb owner that his pass is expired.  Of course, the ************** told you it was a scam because they don't want to be responsible for not making clear the parking regulations and want to put the blame on someone else. You admitted you weren't aware of any policies.  That doesn't absolve you from not adhering to them.  Why aren't you addressing the fact that the parking regulations are referred to in the Airbnb agreement? Why didn't your "host" make you aware of the parking regulations? Why haven't you contacted the office at the property to see if City Booting is contracted to boot vehicles on the street? You are 100% in the wrong! Your rims cannot be damaged because the boots are double coated with heavy duty rubber to prevent damage.  I was never rude and disrespectful to you!  I never said go f yourself. Stop trying to build a case. You mentioned you are a vet - are you just looking for pity? So what if your a veteran, that doesn't allow you to break rules and regulations.  We are very pro veteran and understand the sacrifices our veterans have made and make.  We give military discounts all the time.   And lastly, I was suggested you talk to your "maker" because of all the lies you are saying. Now I take that back I think you should call your lawyer.

I am rejecting this response because:

It does not address the damage they caused by my car. They don't take any responsibility for it. If they did, then they would use their "insurance", if they have any, to rectify it. These people are criminals, and I'm contacting my congressman about it.

      Sincerely,
