On Friday, 7/15/22, Kelting Inspections agreed to inspect the home I am renting because my lease is up and I want to buy it. I previously hired an inspector who gave me an incomplete report that my lender rejected (and for which I paid $275). I explained to Kelting that it was rejected because the lender required a vapor barrier inspection and photos. That was the entire purpose of me paying for a second inspection. He was paid $389.91. The report did NOT contain a vapor barrier inspection, so it was completely useless to me. I then had to hire yet a THIRD inspector and pay him $375. He did the vapor barrier inspection. Kelting's report listed every little thing in my home that needed to be fixed which resulted in my lender also requiring me to do about $20,000 worth of repairs. Those things are not typically what goes into an inspection report and it may be impossible for me to purchase the home at this point. They said they would refund me the money but it has been a week and there has not been a refund issued. So they lied to me about that. It was a classic money grab. He knew he wasn't doing the vapor barrier inspection knowing that was the main thing I needed, but he did an "inspection" anyway just to get some quick money. He also quoted me 4 times what anyone else would charge to pressure clean my home, so I am doing that myself.Business response

We have no contract with this person and have had no marketplace or direct interactions with them. We had a contract with someone else regarding this complaint and have already resolved this issue with our client.
