******** ******* of VicRoy's painting preyed on my elderly grandfather, for whom English is a second language. ******** knowingly engaged in a project for which he did not have the equipment or manpower for and used my grandfather's payment to jumpstart his business. This project to paint the exterior of my grandfathers home started back in September 2021 and as of February 2022 is still sitting incomplete - a complete eyesore for the neighborhood. ******** failed to show up when he said he would, and when he did show up, would work for an hour or two at a time. The work that has been completed is a total mess - patchy with overspray all over the windows, screens, and ground, and doesn't even go all the way to the bottom of the walls. ******** has provided excuse after excuse for why the job has not been completed, refuses to return any of my grandfathers deposit (which was over half of the total project cost), and even had the audacity to claim he needed more money before he would continue work on the project. We have consulted other licensed contractors who have indicated that the work done to date is of no value and must be completely redone. This business is a complete scam. As the wife of an active duty military officer, I am absolutely disgusted that ******** has used the sacrifices of his father and son's service as a qualifier for his integrity and work ethic - for which he has none. Further, we have been unable to find his name, license, or business listed in any Florida databases.
