Complete crooks. Non responsive and will not follow up. You call they send you a text or email. When you respond no response to their emails or texts - you get nada. If I call I expect a phone call back. If I text I expect a text back. If I email I expect a email back. None of which happens. They charged me a lot of money for an architect which I have yet to see. I gave them a lot of money up front for what? Nothing that's what. They also have my engineering drawings that cost me over $500 to produce as well as a complete detailed set of engineering drawings of the structure I wanted them to build both in architectural drawing size and electronically as well as complete specifications on all products and building practices. What a sham. I'm contacting the state of Florida contracting licensing department next. I hope The people of Brubaker Custom Home Construction like being unemployed.

In response to Carl ******'s review, we had great contact with both Mr. and Mrs. ******. Every time they called, text, or emailed, we responded immediately (even after hours!). We started working with the clients the beginning of this year. They were in the process of selling their condo, buying property, and looking to build a new house. We set up our pre-construction contract to get the process started. They put us on hold until they secured the land (end of February). Once the land was secured, we ordered a survey, and reached out to begin the pre-construction process (designing the home).

They had a couple rough weeks while moving, various health problems/personal issues, were in and out of the hospital, and other issues going on that they requested to postpone our meetings.

About a month later they then decided to buy a house, wanted to renovate instead of building, and decided to sell the land they had just purchased. This was mid-April. Brubaker Builders set up a meeting to go down to the house they had purchased in Port St Lucie to go over exactly what they were wanting. We scheduled that meeting on May 3, 2022 at his home. We went down there went over everything they wanted to do, brought back their plans and thumb drive so we could begin working on the architecture and engineering drawings. I requested to set up the first appointment with the engineer to begin the as-builts on May 6th and scheduled this appointment for May 12th. I called, emailed, and texted to confirm this appointment on May 6th, 9th, and 11th with no response, until on May 11th the clients son responded and said Mr. ****** was MIA and Mrs. ****** was in the hospital and to postpone until further notice.

On May 16th I received a phone call from Mr. ******, he told me there were some family issues that he had to deal with , but he still wanted to move forward. I proceeded to reschedule the appointment with the Engineer yet again to get the as-builts completed. This appointment was scheduled on May 18th for that Friday May 20th at 12:30pm. The morning of, I called Mr. ****** to make sure he would be there as I was not going to be able to make it down that day with no response. I texted with no response either. So, I cancelled and rescheduled for the following Friday May 27th at 3pm. I sent Mr. ****** an email on May 26th reminding him of the appointment, letting him know I had reached out numerous times through text and calling and left a voicemail, to confirm his appointment for the 3rd time. I didn't receive a response from Mr. ****** until Saturday May 28th stating that his phone had a mind of its own and was very unreliable. From then, I didn't hear from Mr. ****** until June 6th when he left a voicemail after hours at 5:22pm stating that we were fired and he no longer wanted to do business with him. I tried to call him the following day and his phone went directly to voicemail.

Today when we received this review, I sent an email to Mr. ****** stating that we will return his deposit minus the charges we incurred for the engineering appointment and will meet him to return his plans and thumb drive. I have had no response back yet.
