nov 18 or 19 g&g rep check for ****** dollars for job to be done in 4 to 6 weeks 3 times to no avail . talk to boss 2weeks ago to send refund he said ok have not received check yet.i know its a small job but if hes to busy i can understand have copy of check dont know to send it. 1 am 80 years old just want my money . please.Business Response

On 9/23/2020 I purchase a New Blue Metal Replacement Roof from ****** ********* everything was Great, but within a year people started asking me what was going on with my Roof ? There was ***** Spots all over my roof. I thought it was from Birds. On further examination it was not Bird **** It appears that ***** used an after market paint on my roof that Chemically Reacted with the paint on the factory panels. I called ***** ************ Unfortunately the Operations Manager *************************** blew me off. I called and texted him for 3 months until he finally came out. He came out and got on my roof and said "He had Never Seen anything Like it." ******************** stated that his company did not put any paint on my roof. He said he needed to get the Owner ***************** out to look at it. Unfortunately it took months for ******************** to come to my house until August 23, 2022. ************** said he had never seen any thing like it. He said that they would call the ************* to find out what to do. I never heard from either of them for a long time. I took numerous pictures of my roof during the construction phase and have pictures of paint brushes and roller taken on my property so ******************** Lied to me about that. I confronted him about it and sent him the pictures. They said that they wanted to paint over all the spots. I said No Way! they compromised my roofs factory paint with an After Market Paint (See Pictures) and adding more after market paint was not going to work. They have Compromised my 30 Year Paint Warrantee, My 10 Year Workmanship Warrantee and My 20 Year Materials Warrantee. I want a 100% NEW Replacement Roof.Business Response

We did install a blue metal roof in September of 2020 for this customer. He contacted us on July 7, 2022, at 12:55pm and ***** arrived at 1:30pm July 7, 2022, to inspect the roof. He did need to bring the owner back to see what was going on as it was very unusual. ***** and the owner *** visited the property on August 23, 2022, at 11:00am, this did take some time as the owner was extremely busy and this was relayed to the homeowner. G&G then contacted the metal company, and it was suggested we order custom paint from the exact place they get their paint and try to make the proper repairs. This, I will agree was a very long process to get the custom paint made and sent to us, unfortunately we have experienced heavy delays in our industry with supply issues. Once the paint did arrive, we did have some delays on getting it taken care of, but once scheduled the homeowner decided he no longer wanted to have us fix the roof and only wanted a full replacement. I understand his frustration with the delays, but we cannot just give a new roof without trying to first fix the problem areas. This was explained to the homeowner, and he refused to allow us to make the paint repairs.
This did not happen within a year of install as stated, the blue paint in the photos he provided is a brush on paint that was used on his vents and solar attic fan as they do not come in blue, and his supplied photos show no issues with those areas. He was not lied to at all about that as the areas with the spots are on the roof panels themselves. We still have the custom ordered paint to make the repairs necessary and are more than happy to come out and get that taken care of as long as he allows us to do so.

I am rejecting this response because: I have reviewed complaint ID ********, Unfortunately the Owner does not understand the Extent of this Problem. As seen in the attached Pictures the PROBLEM includes the Solar Fans AND the Attic Vents AND Panels. So the owner of G & G Roofing statement is INCORRECT. **************** Paint that they applied to my roof has Compromised

the Panels, the Vents and the Solar Fans equally. We now have an Additional PROBLEM. The NEW PROBLEM is **** hast developed ALL OVER MY Metal Roof and is now Eating into each Panel. I would think that a $ ****** dollar of would not develop **** in almost every panel but it Unfortunately has. This is CLEARLY an issue that Can Not be Painted Over, BUT needs to be REPLACED because of the reaction of **************** Paint and NOW the **** that is developing ALL OVER ******* !!! To make this Nightmare Right that they have put me through I want a COMPLETE BRAND NEW "SILVER METAL ROOF" with the Same Heavy Duty Stronger Metal that I originally Paid for. Starting from the Plywood on up to Include the area which I pointed out to the General Manager where one panel was stretched over my roof and looks Warped. I want the same Guarantees that normally come with a New Metal Roof and I want them to promise in writing that if a storm should happen in Breviary County and my roof is Damaged I will be Put at the ***** OF THEIR LIST FOR REPAIRS. I want in Writing that I will be in the First 5 houses that they REPAIR for the next 20 years. This is what I want to make this Nightmare that they have put me through RIGHT. This Companies CUSTOMER SERVICE is NON EXISTENT and should get an "F" Rating and I think that these stipulations will give me a piece of mind that going forward Hopefully I will not have any more problems with this company because this has been Very Time Consuming and Problematic. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO GO ALL THROUGH THIS IN ORDER TO GET A COMPANY TO DO THE RIGHT THING :-(

I never agreed to ANYTHING, so i have NO idea what they are talking about.
The whole reason WHY I contacted BBB was because they never did anything to make this problem right. In addition they repeatedly delayed their communications to me to draw this problem out.

On February 6 ,2023 I had my roof replaced , I paid $14,320. The first heavy rain came April 14, 2023 it’s the dry season and my roof started leaking in my sons room very badly, ruined the ceiling and the wall and is damaging the floor. I reported it to Justin D***** ( he sold me the new roof with a pitch so water would roll off,) I had a flat roof and I live in a townhouse consisting of four units. The workmen from G & G roofing found the source of the problem it was a hole on the side of my home ( where my roof meets my neighbors roof ) I have pics ,exactly next to my sons room. since it was raining they said they temporally fixed it they would be back. April 18 2023, fixed the roof again said there was a 2 inch space and they put a metal expander around the pipe. didn’t work They came back out April 28 , for another repair. Justin D***** told me By the pictures I sent him it was definitely Workmanship error and they would cover all the inside damage. May 17-2023 , roof leaking bad again same spot Justin said his boss Jamie would come out and he did. Jamie went on my roof with his workers and an unidentified air condition company. They were up on the roof before he even ring my doorbell . all the sudden jamie said that it’s the air conditioner that’s leaking which is not anywhere near the leak ,the leak is right next to the hole that was on the side of my roof. Jamie even told me not to mention that another air condition company was on my roof or it would void my warranty on my air conditioner in addition they took my shroud off for my air conditioner. The only people on my roof since February 20 was G& G roofing . I have photos of my air condition unit after it was installed in February and now it has fall orange foam on the air conditioner. I asked Justin and Jamie for the owners phone number to talk about the issue and they’ve been ignoring me. meanwhile water is pouring in my sons room every time it rains I have a 10 year warranty on roof. We have been in contact with this homeowner from the very first call. We originally found some issues with the newly installed AC unit and thought this was causing a leak. We have since ruled that out with the AC company. We have been out multiple times trying to find this leak and even flooded the roof and could not get it to leak. Every call has been answered and we have shown up every time to try and resolve this. Upon our last visit we flooded the neighbors roof (quad plex) and found the source of the water intrusion coming from the neighbors roof. The leak is not coming from her newly installed roof and this is what made it difficult to locate. We did make the repairs necessary to stop the leak and we and the homeowner agreed to let a few good rains happen before we address the interior. We have stimming been in contact with the homeowner to check in and ask how it’s looking. The last time we spoke she asked if we can let it rain a few more times to be sure it’s good and we agreed to that. We are doing everything in our power to resolve this and we are keeping in contact with the homeowner.Initial Complaint

Purchased Roof after a hurricane in Dec-2016 for a purchase price of around 11,000 USD. Business provided a 10-year warranty on the roof, within the Warranty it's clearly stated that "should failure occur due to defects in workmanship that may cause leakage or loss of shingles, G & G Roofing construction in will repair such problems, by supplying labor, for a period of ten years" as well as "The warranty items are to be repaired only by G & G Roofing construction Inc and the customer must notify G& G Roofing Construction Inc. within seven (7) days of the problem being discovered" After Hurricane Nicole on 11/10/2022 passed I inspected my roof as shingles were in my backyard, and found that I have multiple missing sheets of shingles on my roof. I contacted G & G 11/11/2022 to inform them of the issue, and was told I would receive a call back. Called back 11/14/2022 and was told that "who knows how good of a condition our roof truly was in since it had been six years and it clearly is not their fault" as well as the employee became loud and proceeded to yell at me over the phone, and they would send someone out to give me an estimate to see how much I would have to pay to fix it. No one has been out to look at the roof, inspect the damage, and make any determination on what the repair process will be. This warranty that was provided seems as if this will not be honored since the employees make no effort to see that the issue is investigated and allowing someone to determine where the fault lies. I also checked neighboring houses who also had their roofs replaced at least one year after mine and saw no damage.Business Response

I purchased a home and the roof was not insurable. I got provisional insurance and the roof needed to be replaced in 90 days. The contract was signed June 10, 2022. The contract states work would start in 5-6 weeks. Early Aug. I got a text asking if I'd picked shingles. I said no one has contacted me. The text stated they would send a link. Never got a link. Texted several times with no response. Moved into the house Sept. 01 and called the company asking when they would start on the roof and why no one had called or responded to me. Told "Jason" would signed the contract was no longer with the company. Roof needed to be done by Sept. 09. Told the earliest they could start is Sep. 26, so lost my insurance. Last week with no notice, they showed up three separate times with roofing underlay materials, dumpster and then shingles. Today is the start date. No one showed up. Called the company and was now told it would be Oct. 05 before they would start. Told it was "because" of the storm. So now I have no insurance and a 20 year old roof and apparently that's my problem.Business Response

G&G Roofing installed a new residential roof on my house in April of 2022. I had discussed that I had new gutters and they promised that care would be taken to uninstall and re-install the gutters during the project. They dented and over nailed the gutters back onto my house in a way that ruined them. I spent $250 just to get the gutters to drain somewhat properly. My gutter company said there will be tons of holes in my flashing but that they can replace the gutters. I contacted G&G 4 times by phone and text but never received a call back or response of any kind until I put a complaint with ****. Jamie, from the roofing Co. Stopped by, agreed that most of my gutters needed to be replaced and asked me to get a quote from my gutters Co. I sent the quote on 9/7, and have requested a resolution twice since. None has been given. My flashing and gutters are trash because of their shoddynessBusiness Response
