    I placed an introductory order for the German Food Box monthly subscription on 01/10/2025, that says you can cancel at any time. I received the box on 01/23/2025. The next box is not supposed to charge and ship until February 10th. My bank account was charged $69.80 on January 24th, which is well before the agreed upon date for the next box. This is an unauthorized charge on my account. I emailed the company and requested the money be refunded and the subscription canceled since they did not follow the agreement. 4 days later they responded to my email asking for the name, address, and email associated with the account. I never heard another word back from them until today, 01/30/2025 when I got an email saying they canceled my subscription and I won't receive any boxes after February. I canceled well before February 10th when the next box arrives and I want my money back right now. This company is taking money from my account illegally. I didn't agree to have my account charged 14 days after my first order, and I want my money back now.

    We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaint regarding the German Food Box subscription.
    The customer placed an introductory order for our monthly subscription on January 10, 2025, and, by completing the purchase, agreed to our Terms and Conditions. As stated in our subscription policy, all charges for upcoming boxes are processed in advance, not after delivery. This ensures timely shipping and fulfillment. The charge of $69.80 on January 24, 2025, was for the February box, which aligns with our standard billing cycle.


    We acknowledge the customer's request for cancellation, and as per our policy, cancellations take effect after the next scheduled box has been processed. In this case, the cancellation applies after the February box, meaning the subscription will not renew for March or any subsequent months. This information is clearly outlined in our Terms and Conditions, which the customer accepted at the time of purchase.
    We regret any misunderstanding and have ensured that no further charges will be applied beyond the February box. However, since the charge was made in accordance with our established policies, we are unable to issue a refund.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    It does NOT  clearly state in the terms and conditions that you will be charged for the following month's box weeks in advance of the shipping date. It says you can cancel at any time and I requested cancelation immediately after seeing the charge. The cancelation was requested weeks in advance of the box bring shipped out. There's more than ample time to cancel before shipping.  ************ is a scam.  They do not abide by the terms that state that you can cancel at any time. NOWHERE in the terms does it state that they are going to charge you weeks before the box even ships, and then refuse to refund your money.

    Our Terms and Conditions clearly state that payments for subscription boxes are processed in advance to ensure timely preparation and shipping. This is a common practice in subscription-based services. While the customer is correct that they can cancel at any time, per our policy, cancellations take effect after the next scheduled box has been processed and charged. This ensures a smooth fulfillment process for all subscribers.

    The customers charge on January 24, 2025, was for the February box, which had already entered the billing cycle. Their cancellation request was processed in accordance with our policy, ensuring no further charges beyond February. However, as the payment was correctly processed for a box already scheduled for fulfillment, we are unable to issue a refund.
    We regret any misunderstanding and encourage customers to review our Terms and Conditions, which outline our billing and cancellation policies. If any additional clarification is needed, we are happy to provide further details.

    I am rejecting this response because:.I have read the terms and conditions.  NOWHERE DOES IT STATE THAT THEY WILL ONLY CANCEL AFTER YOUR NEXT BOX IS CHARGED AND PROCESSED AS THEY ARE CLAIMING ABOVE. THEY ALSO DONT TELL YOU THAT THEY CHARGE YOU OVER 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE FOLLOWING MONTH'S BOX, AND THEN REFUSE TO CANCEL WEEKS BEFORE IT EVEN SHIPS. This is NOT common practice with subscription services  

    The terms state that you can cancel at any time, which is what I did. This is false advertising and dishones business practices . I also have screenshots of messages from multiple people trying to cancel who have had tge same experience. 

    They are blatantly lying to customers,  and not fulfilling their agreement.

    I have tried to cancel receiving the German food boxes since August they do not respond to e-mails the number they give tells you to send e- mail written notification to cancel which I have done may times and they send to-wrong address not mine and I want refund for boxes I was charged for its ***** a box

    We generally cancel immediately when we receive an e-mail termination. The customer should please send us the transmission reports of the e-mails and inform us when and to which e-mail address a termination was allegedly sent.

    This business is not being fair to consumers and attempting to get additional subscription boxes after people cancel.As per: ************************* **************** Manager's email on 9/28/************ is the cancellation policy: ******************************************* so you are actually 4 days too late on the 23rd.---So, She is suggesting I would have to cancel by Sept 19th and I did not receive the first box until the 20th. A customer is expected to cancel before they ever receive their first box to evaluate whether they wish to continue the service?Also, their FAQ has a vague reference to subscription renewal date but never tells you when that date is. Since they clearly state that boxes are shipped on the middle of the month it is fair for a customer to think the renewal date would be at least within the month of shipment, not 3 1/2 - 4 weeks prior to shipment.This is the definition of deceptive business practices.

    I am rejecting this response because: Kindly, your terms did not mention anywhere the renewal date.  I have screenshots of your website showing you never inform the consumer of the renewal date.  Also please kindly explain how a consumer is to make a decision on whether or not to continue your service if the customer is expected to make that decision prior to ever receiving the first delivery of your service?  For me, nor any past complaints that are similar, you fail to ever address this point.  I am not asking for anything for free.  I am simply asking for you to refund my credit card and do not send any further products, which are not due to be mailed until 12 days from now.  Why is not that a reasonable ask?

    I am rejecting this response because:  This is your same unprofessional response to everything when you know you are wrong.  I wish the BBB would step in here since you simply never respond to how a consumer chooses whether or not to renew prior to receiving any product.  You also never show any evidence that you have provided any consumer of their renewal date.  You simply provide a link to your FAQ that shows nothing of substance and does not indicate any dates. 

    I am happy to continue this back and forth until you provide any evidence you indicate what the renewal date is.  Obviously that is impossible since you never provided it.

    I placed an order with the company German Food Box on the 8th of March, I had reached out to the company about when the package was going to arrive at my dad's house in *******. I've done this 3 or 4 times now and the only thing they asked me on my first message was my name and e-mail address and where was the package going to. I've yet to hear back from them, I've tried calling them nothing. I cancelled my order for the next month about 20 minutes ago on their website. It said my subscription will be cancelled on the 4/23/2023, that is when I believe they will try to nail me for another charge. This company is shady and I don't trust them one bit. I want my money refunded since my dad has not received his box.

    Hello.. You can claim anything, but if you make such a pointless nonsense here, you should also be able to prove it. To whom and when were the emails allegedly sent? We respond to every email within 24 hours. Please send us a proof of sending and receiving the emails. 

    Since it is a monthly subscription box, we send the products once a month, since you ordered on the 8th and the boxes for March were already sold out, you will always receive the next box, in your case the April box. If you have canceled, the subscription ends after the April box.

    By the way, this information is also all on our homepage.

    Obviously the customer is lying, she still has not provided any evidence that she sent emails to us, to which email address she sent them, when she sent them to us and whether they arrived. Instead of providing evidence of this, she repeatedly sends a screenshot from our software showing a charge.

    We have tried on to cancel our subscription to German Food Box, I have tried calling, and was directed to an e-mail, I have written to two different addresses provided by the company, and sent a registered letter with the signed receipt dated 12/1/2022. And we still received a shipment in Dec. and the withdrew payment. I have received notice from *** that I am getting a delivery on Sunday. We can not refuse shipment unless we can catch the *** delivery person as it is just dropped at the door, usually while we are at church. I have no idea what to do next. Please advise.

    I signed up to recivie there food boxs and was charged 4 times 3 in November. and once in December after I asked to cancell the subscription. They said they would cancell but still took out money from my account. I would like 2 of my pay cents back.i have contacted them several times and they just give me the run around.
