on May 16, 2022 Yankee clipper came out to fix my sprinkler system. I told them my system was not working I asked them to fix the pump to make it work. Upon arrival, they went to all the sprinkler heads and replaced or did repairs. All of this was done without anyone ever coming in to tell me what the problem was or give me an estimate of the price for this work which was $847. When they were done I was told the whole system was working properly. A few days later when the timer was due to come on nothing happened, no sprinkler came on. I called the office, and was told no one could come out for a month because they were busy. Since I had already paid them $847 I thought they should come back and honor their guaranty that my system was working. I continued to call and left 2 voice mails to explain my problem, with no call back. A week or so later I was talking to my neighbor who knew the number of the owners wife and would call them, without notice, 2 guys arrived. Within 10 mins the guy had diagnosed the pump problem and would bring a part back the following Monday. They came back and within 30 mins fixed the pump. I was surprised to get another bill for $397 after the $847 that I had initially paid for the system to be working. The second trip here they fixed the pump immediately which is what I had called them for the very first time, but apparently wasn't done then. The second trip they knew immediately what was wrong with the pump. I am writing this because my first request was not even honored which was to fix my pump, the guaranty didn't seem to cover what occurred on the second visit.Business response

Good morning, I am going to send you the two receipts with an itemization of exactly what we did at this customers property. You will see the first time we went to his property had multiple problems in the field, including a leak underneath the Brick Pavers. We installed a brand new timer for him at no charge. When he called the second time saying that the system was not working, I personally stopped by to see if there was something I could help with, maybe something simple? Upon arrival he did not remember that we had put in a brand new timer at no charge., He continuously said a different company had put it in. The timer had our sticker right on it. I removed the housing on top of the pump. And saw a leak underneath it. Again this is something totally different than what we did at our first repair A month ago. I sent our guys straight over to the property and have them to re-plumbed the pump as fittings were leaking underneath the pump causing the pump to lose prime and not operate. After they repaired the pump, everything was working wonderful. I do not understand what he is complaining about, his neighbor ****** ***** is the person that I would deal with over the phone, as he is elderly. We are simply charging him for time and material.
