1 starHad my Rheem hybrid water heater installed by Griffin Service on April 2,2024. This week Dec18,2024 water leak was detected,long story short the wrong fitting was installed causing the system to leakto. Rheem Tech Support stated that the warranty is voided since the installer did not follow Rheem protocol installation. Rheem tech advisor said that I have to buy another water heaterReview fromAdam B

1 starIf I could leave 0 stars, I gladly would. This business has got to be the shadiest HVAC / Home Services business I have ever worked for. There is absolutely no structure in any of their departments. I often had to come up with pricing and solutions for myself. Nothing established to begin with. I was convinced by an old co worker to come work there for better opportunities. When I arrived, they told me the business suffered a massive walk out due to change of ownership. The corporation that owns it had taken full control and ****** the original owner. Since they had taken over, I have heard from multiple sources that their customer ********************** and ********************** had went right out the window. Well, it really showed. Most of my customers never received a call back from the office if they called regarding questions or concerns. I was often left to put out those fires myself. The office has no communication amongst each other what so ever. Many of the jobs I sold were canceled due to lack of someone paying attention to scheduling them or lack of transparency on the companys end. They often prayed on the technicians who had revolving door employment histories so they could pay them less and keep them out in the dark. The company also lost nearly $100,000 in profits for one month, which caused me to fall behind due to them holding my check back for 2 weeks. They also lost many sales leads due to a previous employee taking them from his spouse who was an employee of Griffins at the time. The ** had promised me things were going to get better. Then, after having that conversation with him a week prior, I was let go for no apparent reason. ***** and salesman, beware of this scam artist establishment. Many disgruntled and used employees can speak on it, as well as many upset and displeased customers of theirs.Review fromBruce S

1 starThis company installed a $13,000 Lennox A/C system recently. The unit was humming and pulsing very loudly both inside and outside our home. It was so loud they we could not sleep at night. We made 3 appointments with them to address the problem, but we were told its normal each time and nothing could be done. We contacted ****************** directly and they advised us to find a Premier Lennox dealer near us to help with the problem. We did and the new company came out and not only fixed the noise issue but found numerous other problems with the system. The drip pan in the attic was not level and the pan was about to spill water all over my ceiling. We had to vacuum nearly 5 gallons of water from the drip pan. Thankfully they caught it in time. They spent most of the day here fixing the shoddy work that Griffin did. It cost me $2,200 to make the system right. The General Manager is **** **** and he refuses to return my phone calls and emails. He had a clerk send me a snippy email reply blaming me for using another company to fix what they refused to after numerous attempts. I want them to reimburse me for having to go outside of them to fix the system.Review fromAntonio L

Very unprofessional and incompetent on all accounts!They advertise on the radio how speedy there service is, thats a lie!We prepaid for the maintenance plan in May to have both of our AC units tuned up, they told us it would be a 6 week wait. The night before the day of service, we receive a text message at 9:30 at night indicating they will have to cancel our service that we waited 6 weeks for due to staffing shortage.I called the next morning only to get the after hour call center to leave a message for office right away since we did take off work to have this done.Never got a call back until 3 pm from the office manager. She indicated that they had to service bigger jobs at that time and that our tune up was not a priority and that we would have to wait another six weeks to receive the service we prepaid for! This company clearly has a lack or regards to their customers! I am still awaiting a refund for this! I could have received a tune up from another company that actually wants my business instead of waiting months for a preventative service in the most intense weather!Griffin Service

We apologize for the misunderstanding. I do see that we had a need to reschedule the maintenance on 6/25 due to customers without any AC. However, we did try to work the customer back o for the same day or the next week. We have refunded the unused portion of the membership minus the water heater flush that was performed for the amount of $238. We hope that this is will resolve the issue. 1 starSo extremely disappointed in selecting them to replace our 3 A/Cs. They are VERY responsive when you are spending $25k on 3 units; however weve had them less than 8 months and 2 of the units have already had to be serviced. Its been a horrible service experience since install. A former employee told us they dont like to service warranty issues because they dont make any money on it and that has truly been our experience. Last week our unit froze over so we took off work Monday for our service appt. There supposedly a hole somewhere in the Freon line so they overcharged it and now it tries to run but shuts off. Was told the part was in and theyd be back later in the week. No phone call. We called back Wed. and a tech came out yesterday (*****) said he lost his key to get to the Freon line so couldnt help us (total waste of another day away from work), smoked a cigarette in my husbands face and said wed have to wait for a call for repair. Now its Friday no call and no A/C 5 days later and no sense of urgency. Weve called 4 times today trying to speak to a supervisor only to be told theyd call us back within the hour then the last one said theyd need 24 hours to call back which means Monday now. Also meaning its Friday we cant help younow its 84 degrees in my daughters bedroom and we will have to go the whole weekend like this. This company came to my **** sq ft condo upon my call that my ** Unit was not working. The technician showed up in flip flops. He asked me where serial number was which was clearly marked in which I had already written down, demonstrating his complete incompetence. After looking at the unit for about 60 seconds, proceeded to tell me the 'repair' part would take 2 weeks and suggested a replacement because of the heat Then quoted $7000 to $10,000 for a replacement unit for basically a **** SQ ft apartment! Yes $10,000! A Or repair of $2,500.I have recently moved from ******** in which I had just replaced the ** unit for for a **** sq ft house for $3100.Their quote was OUTRAGEOUS! I obviously declined as this is complete and utter robbery, a blatant scam and basically stealing. I fear for elderly people in this extreme heat on a fixed income or just don't know any better....being bamboozled out of desperation to paying $10,000 for ac unit that doesn't need to replaced and typically costs about $2000.I had a second company out the same day and the replacement part was a capacitor which was a $16 part and it cost me $200 opposed to the $10,000 they quoted me. This is absolutely despicable. This company is probably financing people thousands and thousands of dollars and placing liens on their property for repairs and replacement units that are not needed or that are marked up 10 times.This company has fake reviews on ****** and dozens of horrible reviews with BBB.I encourage everyone to get at 3 estimates and look beyond ******s fake and auto generated reviews.Griffin Service

Thank so much for bringing your concerns to our attention. So sorry you experienced any issues. Checking our records we show that ************** arrived on 7/12/2023. Upon arrival customer stated that they had an electrical fire which caused circuit board to burn the board and be "fried" along with some of the electrical wiring. Made customer aware of the system being 19 years old and not being able to confirm possible other issues with system due to system not being operational. Gave customer estimate for repairs of $1,096.34 but also recommended replacement system due to age and condition. Gave customer range of $7,000 to $10,000 for replacement of system. ******** stated she had spoken with neighbors who had their air-conditioning redone for $3000 and she would be shopping this price around. Did not perform any work while on site system is still not operational. In reference to the flip flops, It appears you may have the incorrect company. Due to safety reasons and pure professionalism our technicians do not wear that type of shoe while working. We are more than happy to jump on a call to clarify and provide any assistance possible. 1 starIsn't there a way to give zero stars? These people make a big deal about confirming appointments and then don't show up. Their system of not giving any indication of timing is extremely inconvenient. You are told to go about your day and they'll give you thirty minutes notice of their arrival. Not even any idea of whether this will be morning or afternoon. Anyway, immaterial in the event as I waited for news all day, only to find out no-one would be coming. They also refused to give an estimate of costs over the phone. If every other company was able to give an estimate of timing and costs, why can't they? And why did I have to reach out to them to find out they were not going to make it? I understand this can happen, but they should at least have the decency to let me know they were experiencing difficulties and would not be able to come as promised. I'll be looking for much more reliable service elsewhere. They've set a low bar.Review fromDrorit S

1 starThe star rating should have a negative possibility as well. I would rte it at -10. Worst service ever. I was first quoted $13,500, by *******, to replace ducting work in a mobile home Within an hour got that down to 8K, then 7K later that day. They had their tech come out 2 days later to measure and informed me that they would not be able to do the ducting in the walls. I said that is fine and to give me a price for just underneath the house. Never heard from them. I have called 5 days in a row to ask what the problem was and absolutely no response from *****, who is the one they always tell me will call me. Charged me $199 to come out and also didn't tell me the until they got there. Is this how you conduct yourself in a business? You ignore people who are actually trying today you for a service? I want a refund immediately and I will make sure everyone I know will know how horrible you people are , from gouging to never responding for service. I needed this done immediately and here I am now 10 days later trying to find someone to come and fix this.Review fromAlisha C

1 starAfter 5 hours was charged for a part that wasn't needed. Never once did tech check for freon level. A/C still wasn't cooling next day . ******************* came out and first thing they did was check freon level. It was completely out. Called 3 times over 2 weeks for a refund. Was promised each time a manager would call . Still have yet to hear from anyone. Is this how you communicate with an upset customer? Do better ********************!! Still waiting in a call and a refund.
