My wife took our 2004 Chevy Silverado to Bruce European Motors for multiple things to be fixed, in addition to needing transmission work because it would not go in reverse. All of the non-transmission work done by Bruce European Motors was done satisfactorily. This review is about the transmission work. Bruce outsourced the transmission work to James' Family Transmission & Auto Repair. For this we were charged $3,200. We were told that there was a 3-year nation-wide warranty. We were not given any paperwork for this by Bruce. After a bit of time, I got my truck back and it worked. This truck is used to pull my travel trailer, so my life depends on it. Bruce knew this. 1500 miles into my trip, I started getting multiple check engine codes that pointed to the transmission having issues. I was in the middle of nowhere, so when my wife reached out to Bruce to get the issue resolved, they did not respond. I was staying on someone's property with my RV and had to move, so I had to rent a uHaul, which cost me $350 so that I could move my trailer to the next town where a mechanic could look at the transmission and resolve it. We also had to drive our truck the distance in limp mode on a freeway going 45 mph because it would not change gears. In the new small town, the truck was inspected and it was found that there was a transmission leak, the transmission harness was bad and that the person that had worked on the transmission previously (we assume this to be James' Family Transmission & Auto Repair) used silicone to seal the gap when the transmission harness was connected to the transmission. Our transmission still threw up the same check engine codes and we then limped it to another shop as the one we had it at said their transmission guy would not touch the tra
