On October 28, 2021 I purchased a boat from Ray M. boat sales in Florida. He and his son assured me that the boat was in perfect running condition with no problems everything had been checked and double checked. I found the mechanic who worked at the marina where the boat was being stored and asked him to give it a good once over make sure the lower end wasn't leaking and that the motor was in good working order. His name was Brian. He said it was good. I found out later on that Brian worked with Ray M. on many occasions, I found out after I paid him $700 for servicing the motor and taking it for a test drive. Since My purchased I've had one problem after the other I was told the boat and motor were taken care of very well, but it turns out that was a lie. The boat has original hoses clamps there's electrical wiring that was put together with household wires and household cap nuts most of them have fallen off leaving exposed wires touching each other. A bad combination exposed wires near batteries with gas fumes. We were already out in the bay when I noticed the smell and some of the hoses and wires Soon after I noticed this The engine quit, trim/tilt stopped. Me & my Nephew drifted onto a shoal of rocks. We got towed in by boat US. I called Ray numerous times within weeks of my purchase with no response. I have receipts and documentation of repairs I paid for and time that I did myself including today's tow. I will get you all documentation by the first time we speak. Thank you for looking into this. Ray M. boat sales was quite aware that I had a family intending to spend weekends on that boat. He was aware of the boats problems. His mechanic Brian checked it out before I purchased it. They intentionally deceived me and put myself and my family in grave danger.
