My transportation was cancelled due to the tropical storm that will hit hitting Thursday the day before my boat rental. I live out of state and cannot get to the state of Florida due to the tropical storm. My rental is in the morning. The company said they would issue a refund then changed their mind and will only issue a credit for voucher up to one year.Which I explained I cannot use because I will not be coming back to the east side of Florida I am moving to the west coast the week after. The company does not care for the safety of their customers and will not help in any way.Business response

Our team worked with this customer and gave them numerous options regarding inclement weather. Our Cancellation Policy is presented on every page of our website (in the footer) and on every page of the booking process (4-5 pages).
We provided options where the customer would not lose any money and would either receive a full refund OR ************** with no losses. They are also trying to cancel on a date where there is no named storm within 100 miles, nor are there any weather advisories. Safety is not the issue here.
Anchor is dedicated to safety and we would never put a renter at risk. Having said that, we do not cancel charters based on a forecast that shows some rain is possible. This is Florida and rain is possible almost every day.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have communicated to this company too many times that I am not a resident of Florida. I will have to risk my safety and drive through the tropical storm to get to the destination and not loose my $1300+ on the rental. Florida has declared state of emergency and all flights are canceled. Anchor has not worked with me at all, and has only given me automated responses of their cancellation policy, nothing else. On top of not caring for their customers safety they are only offering a voucher that is only good for one year and will still be charging me extra fees to reschedule the boat rental. This companies business tactics are not only dishonest because they have not tried to help but are also money hungry and have no regard for their customers lives. They simply do not care but for the money.

That is untrue. Charter vouchers are dollar for dollar credits. No funds are lost in the transaction. This is proven in the Cancellation Policy on the website as well as the email correspondence in the attachment we provided.
The only time funds would be lost is if a customer is trying to cancel or reschedule on a date that does not have a weather advisory. If the departure date has a weather advisory, we do not charge anything to reschedule.
Lastly, a customer's travel plans or hotel arrangements are not coordinated by Anchor. We cannot speak on the behalf of airlines or hotels on their policies. It has nothing to do with the rental or transaction between Anchor and the customer.
