I am writing to formally file a complaint and seek your assistance regarding a recent issue with Anchor Rides. I am a captain affiliated with Anchor Rides. The purpose of this letter is to address the unprofessional conduct of ********************* from the *****, ** office and to request compensation for a charter conducted on May 26th, 2024., ***************************. On the day of the charter, upon my arrival at Beach Weekend, I encountered discrepancies in my Anchor Charters app upon approaching the pontoon, I proceeded with the charter as planned. I have a history of providing exemplary service with Anchor Rides and am well-versed in the app's functionality. Throughout the charter with ********************, I meticulously documented the vessel's condition, capturing photographs of the interior, exterior, dashboard, and ********************' driver's license. The charter proceeded smoothly. Following the Memorial Day weekend, on Tuesday, May 28th, I contacted ********************* to address the app issues. Upon request I promptly forward the required photographs. Upon subsequent follow-up calls, **** assured me that compensation for the completed charter with ******************** would be issued once the app issue was resolved. However, despite several assurances and subsequent follow-**** I have yet to receive payment. Upon my last contact weeks later with *********************, he indicated that payment had been made to another ******** ******************* from Beach Weekend, and suggested that I pursue the matter with him, very unprofessional.Given the circumstances, I kindly request your assistance in facilitating the compensation owed to me for the charter with *************************** on May 26th, 2024, totaling $370.00 as communicated by *********************.If needed, I have all documentation of phone calls, emails, texts, and photos for supporting my claim. Due to this issue, I have not only lost this charter's income but thousands of dollars of future charters income.

In a bareboat charter, the Charterer (customer) is the Captain's employer. Not the Broker (AnchorRides). Anchor is a platform where Renters meet boat Owners and Captains for charter experiences. In this case, the Captain was photographed sleeping at the wheel and was reported to have alcohol on his breath. The Captain was also dismissed from operating any of the Owners multiple vessels. When a Captain violates the contract between a Charterer (renter/employer) and the Captain, they are entitled to file a dispute and potentially receive a refund. The customer provided photographic evidence of the Captain asleep at the wheel and the Owner helped to validate the renter's complaint. In this case, Anchor reviewed the evidence provided and made a decision to refund the customer's money for Captain services. You cannot fall asleep at the wheel and expect to get paid.

I inquired about a charter on 4/25/2022 for a Mother's day event I was putting together for 5/8/2022. I was advised immediately that the boat, Emma Grace, was available and there was a $750.00 deposit. I paid the deposit on that same day at 7pm and on Wednesday morning one of the people in my party alerted me that they had Covid and could not attend so I reached out to Anchor Rides to cancel my charter and was told that my deposit was forfeited but they could give me a credit for the $750.00. The credit was good for 12 months. I reached out to them today being I was able to get someone to replace that individual to find out they charge a $750.00 rescheduling fee which is absurd meaning the credit is useless and the charter would increase an additional $750.00. They were not willing to accomodate us at all and make an exception being it was less than 48 hrs when we canceled initially. I am very upset that this rescheduling fee was not told upfront. I will never book with them nor will I refer anyone to them. I am very upset with this experience.

The boat we were assigned did not live up to the picture as advertised. Upon arrival we were racially profiled because we were rappers and African Americans. We asked for a refund. Tried contacting main office and corporate office and no response. Now we are only interested in receiving our deposit and payment refunded. It would also be much appreciated if Nicol J. could contact us regarding this matter.

I'm the owner of the company and I'm African American. So don't play the race card on this one. You rented a 20' boat that seats 10 passengers max, using your grandmother's credit card. You showed up with 23 people, nearly 2 hours late. This has nothing to do with race. This has everything with your inability to follow instructions, directions, policies, and federal laws. You claim to have a record label and a huge social media following... I'm sure all your "fans" would like to know how much of "baller" you are renting our smallest/cheapest boat on your grandma's dime. Here's some advice bossman, quit making excuses for your behavior and blaming everyone else for your mistakes.

When we rented this boat we were informed that it would accommodate 12 passengers plus a captain. Personally your response is not one expected from the owner iof a company. Yes there were more people However they were just on lookers. Had the boat lived up to the picture we received there would not have been a problem on our part. You say we played a race card. Had you been there you would have felt what we felt.

The listing is still public and still says 10 passengers. And we have the email history to prove you were notified. You read it incorrectly OR you chose to ignore the rules. Either way. Also, when you book a jet, book a plane, book a vacation rental (like Airbnb or other), you can't show up with twice the amount of people as stated on the booking. I personally know the man who runs the operation you booked... and what you don't know is another black man is an investor in that business (his silent partner who bankrolls the operation). But you want to blame it on race. No my friend. You showed up to a 10 passenger boat with 20+ people and that's the end of it. We have filmed for many television productions like Netflix and MTV and had our boats and yachts used for entertainment shoots (music videos). Those organizations gave us a heads up and planned ahead of time, letting us know what they were doing, and with that, we were able to accommodate their special needs and requests. So whatever it is that you were trying to do that day, I suggest you communicate and plan it better next time. And I suggest you be more professional if you want to be successful in a very competitive industry like entertainment... acting like this will get you nowhere, fast. Good luck to you. I will not be responding to any more messages on this subject. It's a waste of my time.
