My elderly mother called Beacon Windows in Largo to fix her sliding glass door. 9/3/2021 a technician named Oriel H. came out and said the rollers, glass and headers among other things needed to be replaced. My mother agreed, and was presented with a $165.00 invoice for a "service call". First of all, not even a plumber on an emergency overnight call would charge $165.00 for a service call. My mother paid it by check, and the technician went on his way. I have a copy of this invoice for proof. It is now 10/22/2021. No work has been done, and every single person employed at Beacon Windows is dodging calls from my mother, my brother and myself for resolution. I have their main number 727-493-2644, David ************, Sales Dept ************ and the owner Lizette ************. Please explain how not one person is available to answer on any of those numbers. The resolution I am seeking is to have a repair technician come out to my mother's residence immediately and fix the door, and either reimburse this fraudulent $165.00 so called service fee, or apply that $165.00 towards any repair costs.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2021/11/09) */ Business Response taken verbally by BBB: The door is dated and getting parts for it takes time. We are trying hard to source the parts, and tried to explain it to the homeowner. The person that filed the complaint is not our customer, but is the daughter of the homeowner. Consumer Response /* (2000, 9, 2021/11/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The door has had some adjustments made thus far. From what has been relayed by the company, the glass for the door is currently being manufactured, and I do understand that does take time, however both myself and/or my mother would appreciate communication from the company when an estimated date of installation can be expected.
