I have been a patient of Psychologist Dr. Felix for the past 4ryrs, approx. I have been prescribed several different mood/psychological medications. I was incarcerated 12/26/21 - 4/2/22, when I was released, I contacted Suncoast around mid-April, to schedule an appointment with my Psychologist Dr. Felix. The last time I spoke with Dr. Felix, 12/1/21, we discussed my meds and scheduled my following appointment for 90 days out, 2/1/22; as per our usual quarterly appointments. However the office staff said I was discharged before the 2/1/22 appointment even occurred because I missed two therapy appointments. After being denied repeatedly to let me contact my Psychologist, they refused to schedule my appt and said I need to go through intake as new a patient; reluctantly agreeing, they scheduled me for 6/9/22, when I arrived they said they had no record of my appt and made me come back 6/16/22. After today's appt, I still could not speak to my Psychologist, I was put through preliminary intake questions and scheduled to see a NEW Psychologist for a psych evaluation, on 7/25/22. This is unacceptable for a mental health patient of 4 years, to be put through this! I have not had any medications since December 2021 and have been denied access to my medical provider, a licensed Psychologist; obstructed with their red-tape policies and procedures.
