yesterday I had an appointment with Keywest Lights. they were scheduled to arrived between 2:30 and 3:30. At 3:10 pm he texted me to say he would be 45 minutes late. I complained about the late arrival and the inconvenience of having to wait. He sent a series of increasing abusive text messages. I'm not filing this complaint about the lateness but about the abusive text messages.

The appointment was set between 2:30 and 3:30 our tech messaged you saying he was on the way at 2:57 pm at which point he messaged and said he would be there 15 mins late from the scheduled time of 3:30 and that he would arrive at 3:45 and that he was sorry for any inconveniences and if you would like to reschedule if this time did not work for you. Your reply that was sent was in our opinion snark and rude and uncalled for. Our business consist of an ever changing schedule and situations arise that sometimes holds us up at our job and this is why we have a window time that we provide as a safe fail. As for our tech I think he did a very good job of keeping in communication with you and keeping you in the loop. We're very sorry that you felt that this was unacceptable and we are very sorry we didn't get to help you out with your project but communication is our utmost importance and getting the job done right the first time. Again we sincerely apologize and hope you have a great New Year

Obviously this company is not willing to own up to and address the very abusive text messaging of its tech. As such, it certainly doesn't deserve the high rating you provide.

"Hey this is Mark with key West lights and electric I'm currently in route and it says I'm about 45 minutes away which puts me about 15 minutes late from our scheduled time if that's okay just confirm in this text message if you need to reschedule for any reason just let me know also by text message thank you and sorry for any inconveniences of being late"

"No our appointment was at 2:30. That's a lot more than 15 minutes late"

"If you read the email the appointment is between 2:30 and 3:30 for the arrival window so are you saying you don't want to reschedule or you're canceling"

"Cancel. This is very inconsiderate. You already gave your self an hour leeway and even that wasn't enough. I don't live here
I have to wait in an empty house. Other people time means nothing to you

You give yourself a two hour window but I'm expected to be at house the entire time "

"Listen every body has a window because our job consistently has problems that we encounter and have to take care of the issue just as if I was at your house and doing electrical work and I ran into an issue should I just leave your problem and go off to the next job because I have it scheduled the attitude you have maybe has gotten you far in life but I won't with me or most of the other electricians in the area I gave you an hour time window not a 2-hour some people give you a 2-hour window I was going to be 15 minutes late which meant an hour and 15 minutes or as you put in an hour and 20 minutes I'm sorry for the inconvenience with a simple fact is is I'm glad it came out before I even met you because working for people like you is miserable and it's not even worth the money again I hope you have a wonderful New years Eve and I hope next year brings you great things"

There is our conversation and maybe the tech could have handled the last part a little more respectfully but the respect given to our tech in the beginning from you was not appropriate either. Again we are sorry for any inconveniences and hope you have a great New Year.
