I don't even know where to begin... And I know they will comment with their contract bull****. They lie and deceive people to push them into personal training. Their trainers have zero REAL knowledge on training. The entire staff is absolutely horrible. They are rude, condescending and talk s**t about their "clients". They bait and switch you on the contract by showing you papers (their sales pitch) to get you to sign up. They NEVER explain when the charges occur, hoping you do not realize that it is monthly. They lead you to believe you are paying for an entire year. They do not show you the ACTUAL contract. You sign a small electronic pad, so you do not know what you are signing. They state they will email it, but they did not send it to me. They do not explain cancelation policies. They then make is next to impossible to cancel. I was lied to about the amount of money needed to cancel my contract, it ended up being almost twice what I was told over the phone. The "manager" **** is ride, nasty, condescending, unprofessional and an absolute horrible person to work with. He will talk to you like you are stupid when you call him out on lying and deceiving patrons. This is literally why people don't want to go to gyms. I have disputed all charges they have made against me since I was never presented the correct documentation to agree to the terms. I have reported them to the BBB. And I will be posting more reviews. I contacted a lawyer who informed me they are engaging in unfair business practices and I will be taking legal action. Absolutely deplorable company.

Dirty gym, freezing cold showers, their fob to enter never works after hours. The front desk was completely rude to me for wanting to cancel. No understanding or acknowledging, rude.

False advertising ******** ads. They had membership for $1 for the first month afterwards they would charge $50 yearly fee and then $23 a month. Well, the first month they changed me over $50. Then this month. I was charged over $74... how is that $23 a month? Rip off them my ban (truist) is trying to charge me $35 to stop them from charging my account. Rip-off all around. I just want to stop this period.

I am beyond floored at the lack of professionalism at this gym. In life, you get what you pay for. Since September 2022 at Doral, I have tried to cancel, sending a certified letter to this gym, for which I have documentation they received. They never acknowledged the cancellation. They do not respond to anything in writing. I received a verbal confirmation they would downgrade me from the manager and of course he did not. I was charged $390 and $24.95 after canceling in writing. I received an apology by text, that they would refund my $390 and of course they never contacted me. I was also charged $70/month for a for a Revamped service that I could never use. It's a scam to offer a service and not have the staff available to render the service. So I paid $140 for absolutely nothing. I have about 12 training sessions remaining and they are paid for and I rather lose them than continue to patronize a place that does not honor their own policies.Several times I went to the gym and could not enter because they didn't properly charge the card on file. Literally for several months in a row, I had to go to the manager's desk and say I could not get in again, please charge my card on file. They said it was fixed and it wasn't. Imagine going to the gym 3x and you cannot get in, because someone did not set up the payments correctly. This has been the worst gym experience ever. The saving  grace is my trainer, she is AMAZING! They are friendly and everyone speaks to you, but managing billing is a nightmare. I need proper documentation for any cancel, downgrade, or change to my account. You cannot say you will process a change and don't and charge me the full price when you said you would downgrade me (see why I ask for things in writing??). It's unethical to charge someone who followed your written agreement. I have contacted my credit card and a lawyer because they don't follow their own agreement. Beware signing up at this gym if you are paying more than the $9.99 fee!

After reading these reviews I am not surprised with how poorly this establishment **** few weeks ago amped fitness posted on instagram saying they were getting new equipment at the end of the week fast forward three weeks later still no new equipment alittle deceiving right? No update no nothing just the same post except this time around they took the comments off their post because people were asking questions about when it was coming so it seems like theyd rather silence people instead of actually being truthful. I had reached out through instagram via messenger and simply said this is false advertisement and broken promises.. apparently they did not like that because Today I found out my gym membership was terminated through my partners voicemaildidnt call me directly but called my boyfriends phone and left a voicemail..professional right?

i signed up for a PT thinking i could pay for it, but things changed quickly. so i went in and asked to change whatever membership for pt i had and switch it to the VIP, which is much more affordable. Then i get charged for both the pt and the vip payment and find out it was never cancelled. I dont know who was at fault, but even if it was me the employee should've made complete sure of what i was asking for. And when i go talk to my trainer about it she says only managers can cancel memberships. And keeps asking why i have to cancel it. And its not a good feeling saying over and over again 'i have no money, i literally cant afford it, id rather pay the cancellation fee now than the 2,000 for the whole year'. I also work in customer service and have to deal with many many complaints but i always make sure the customer is at least happy by the end of it. Its a great gym, and i will gladly keep going but now i have $140 I'll never get back. And a refund couldnt even be done. Even if it was my fault i still felt like they couldve handled the situation better.

1 star just because the BBB requires you to give one.
Predatory would be the description here. I've been trying to cancel my membership with them since Feb 2022 it is now 6/30/22 and they are still billing my account.
Do not sign a single thing they will force you onto getting personal training and when i was unable to do the program due to medical circumstances they refused to cancel until the end of the payment schedule. I understood and was under the impression by the manager that the payments would stop when the payment schedule was over.

Had to go in twice to cancel this.
In the meantime, they stole 2 payments from me beyond the payment schedule on my signed contract equaling $120.

Do not go to this gym not only are they scammers - they clean the equipment with dirty rags, everything is filthy, they over sell so it's busy at all times and you cannot get a workout in, and ladies forget about feeling comfortable here.

Wish I could say that I had a better experience at Amped Fitness but unfortunately I didn't.

I first was assigned a trainer with Daniel who was pretty new to PT and honestly it didn't seem like he paid attention to being careful with my injuries. So I requested my investment to another trainer named Jessica who is the Director. Two weeks later, that original trainer quit and Jessica was quick to express how bad his routine was.

Now Jessica was initially great but I had a weird experience overall. Her alpha, steroid induced boyfriend Nick kept hovering during the first month of my workouts. While I tried to be funny and playful about it, it did make me uncomfortable. After all I'm a customer.

Secondly, she started as very professional but after awhile started being extremely open about how certain staff members were doing steroids.
When I asked out of curiosity, she responded with "everybody."

Furthermore, she was very vocal about who has "hit on her" among the staff, specifically mentioning certain staff members as guys she has to be "careful" around.

As a customer I shouldn't have to know all this. I don't really know where she gets off being this open with a customer of hers.

While I have some injuries to recover from and some shape to get back in, I have the knowledge of health and wellness that is reasonably well rounded. Jessica unfortunately does not. She does not believe in "full body" training as a way to obtain weight loss and pretty much subscribes to a Push/Pull routine or a per body part or whatever her boyfriend tells to do. She is unprofessional, narrow-minded, arrogant, and has a lot to learn.

My recommendation is use the equipment here but the trainers I have worked with are too new to really take care of you.

Lastly, I paid my $600 on the day that I cancelled but unfortunately I will have to pay another $600 in 30 days because of "policy" as per Berto, the manager.

Hello ****, we do apologize for the experience you had with us at Amped Fitness, especially with our training department that is not how we conduct business with our clients. Here on out with all our trainers we've become more uniform and professional when it comes to our clients' needs and wants. Moving forward Amped is willing to put you with a different trainer that better suits your needs and reimburse some sessions back onto your account for the time that was lost with your previous trainer. Now in your signed agreement it does state you will need to go through a cancellation process with your training contract. In your case ****, you did show documentation that you are moving away so at that point it is just a 30-day notice. Now if any payment falls within those 30 days you are obligated to pay it. In your case you have one last payment of $600. Amped as a company we strive to provide the best experience every day for our members and clients. Thank you for your feedback and your time ****. Once again, we do wholeheartedly apologize for the lack of professionalism and inconvenience you have been through.

      Hello ****,

We apologize for the experience you had with us at Amped Fitness, specifically with one of our trainers. That is not how we conduct business with our clients. We have addressed this issue with the individual, and it will NOT happen again. Here at Amped Fitness, we pride ourselves on our ability to create an amazing culture/atmosphere for our members which means we are uniform and professional when it comes to our clients' wants and needs.

Moving forward Amped is willing to put you with a different trainer that better suits your needs and reimburse some sessions back onto your account for the time that was lost with your previous trainer. I do want to specify that we are NOT charging you a cancellation fee of $600. In your signed agreement it does state you will need to go through a cancellation process with your training contract. In your case ****, you did show documentation that you are moving away so at that point it is just a 30-day notice. If any payment falls within the 30 days it is the members responsibility to make the final payment. In your case your final monthly payment is $600 in which you will receive your final month of Personal Training sessions for that payment. I have attached your PT contract to this form for reference.

We strive to provide the best experience every day for our members and clients. Thank you for your feedback and your time.

Once again, we do wholeheartedly apologize for the lack of professionalism and inconvenience you have

been through with that individual and will make sure it never happens again.
