There are responsibilities of insurance agents to take the best of care and assure their work is free of errors and omissions in coverage protection as well as misquoting the premium for insurance policies. On March 13, 2023, we spoke to our agent requesting a review of the calculation of my home property dwelling amount on the homeowners policy, because it had increased from ******* in 2020 from prior carrier, going with this agency to ******* in 2021 and the policy was cancelled, then quoted with another company and amount of dwelling increased to to ******* three months later, then in 2022, it increased to *******. That's a huge increase, and the process of almost 30% in a single year, and that was after a They sent us a form that was returned the same day. Three weeks later, we called for a follow up discussion and was rudely treated by the agent who handles our policy and told that there were people who didn't have any insurance that needed help first. We told her that was not our concern and we expected proper servicing of our account, and in fact, considering the 25% increase of premium, and rates raised across the board, considering that their commission rates are still the same, they should have enough money to hire adequate staff to properly service their existing policyholders and not just be worried about new business. We did not yell or get nasty, just stated the facts, to which she hung up on us. We called several weeks ago, three months later and left a message for the associate to whom the form we completed was assigned and got no response. I called earlier this week and left message for managers and again received no response.
