Crown Hyundai gave me the most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced. My car (purchased from Crown) was towed there after breaking down. Crown immediately lost my car key, tried to blame it on the tow truck driver. I called Crown daily to get an update on my vehicle. No one could ever tell me what was happening. I was promised calls back numerous times (even from the service manager, Ryan) and they failed to call me back almost every time. The service director, John, was also notified of the issue and failed to follow up. Crown magically found my key nearly 2 weeks later, and never notified me (until I called to ask). After numerous more un-returned phone calls, I finally presented myself in person only to find out that my vehicle had never even been put into the repair computer system. The in-person staff offered apologies and offered to expedite a fix on the vehicle. 10 minutes later, they informed me that my vehicle could not be serviced by them and we would have to take it elsewhere. This is something that should have been obvious on day one if anyone had actually taken the time to review my concerns. Save yourself and purchase/service your vehicle anywhere else but the Crown dealerships.Review from rona m

went to put my trust in a dealership. I am 81 and my other car was in an accicnet and totaled. I would exercise caution from doing any business with this dealership, I was sold a car with faulty tires that could have allowed an accident for myself and others on the road. I have been rudely treated and not being spoken to in that which I was. They do not return phone calls. This car should never have been sold in the condition it was. I have it 4 months and by accident found the flaws. I would hope that they will not be put in the position I am with one of their family, or others on the road driving a dangerous vehicle as such. They should look in the mirror and see a person/persons responsible for selling this car.Review from Deborah A

I brought my car in on January 23rd. I did not receive an update/diagnosis until the evening (5:30pm) on the 25th. I was told it was the spark plugs and it may or not be covered as it was considered a maintenance issue. However, the next day FRIDAY I was told it was a defective Coil that caused the spark plugs to fail. My extended warranty covered the coil but, I had to pay $92 for new spark plugs. I was told as it was Friday it would be the middle of the following week before the repair would be complete. I called Advance Auto Parts and they had my spark plugs. I left a message for **** the service manager (as of today still have not spoken to him in person). Within a few hours I received a call "We located your spark plugs and you can pick the car up that afternoon" (funny how that worked out). By the time I got home the outside radio antenna had fallen off. I received a survey call about the service that following Monday and explained to the nice lady what had happened. She in turn emailed **** regarding my concern (still have not heard from ****). Considering it sat on the dealership lot for 4 full days I can only guess the damage was done while it was at the dealership. I have called everyday to find out if the dealership will cover the cost of the repair only to receive conflicting information from every person I spoke to regarding the issue ( *******, ****** and ***** and possibly **** through *******). TODAY February 2nd: I called and asked for the ** or Administration and was forwarded the ** of *************************** the founding owner of the business who passed away in December of 2020. (sick joke?) I called again later this morning (9:45) and the secretary for the service department denied ever speaking to me (apparently there are now two *******'s with the same voice in the same department). So here I am with a car that is 5 years old less the 34K miles (less then 8.5K miles a year) and no answers to my concerns.Review from Em H

My husbands car has been in the service for MONTHS and MONTHS now! It’s under warrantee and we still don’t have the our car!! The service doesn’t answer phone calls and if you happen to get ahold of someone they are short with you and give you no answers. The service blames it on the company that the car is warranted through because they obviously aren’t able to get the cars done in a timely manner. They gave us a lender car AFTER ALMOST 2 MONTHS of being without a car, meanwhile we both work and had to take days off and work around our schedules because of them!! and then almost a month and a half later when my husband was able to reach out to someone to get update on our car, they had absolute NO idea that they gave my husband a lender car. They are very unprofessional and so inconsiderate. Do not take your car to get serviced here!!!

I am so disappointed in this dealership from the service manager as well as the general manager. what keep customers coming back to a business, is a very established and honest company, only if I knew I would've been treated this way I would've never invested my hard earn money with this company. I have told the dealership something was wrong with the engine more than once send a letter to the ** and to the *** stating there was something wrong with my 2018 Hyundai sonata sports engine. Now my car have been sitting there since March 17th 2023 they are telling me the engine is gone and they have to do a investigation to make sure it was well maintenance I only had the car a year and a half or more they will not put me into a car loaner or help with car rental, so I am paying for a car rental as well as a car payment because they sold a car with a bad engine. Make things even worse, I was told people have been waiting longer than I have just wait in line like others or do like other people and just go out and buy another car instead of renting . I have been renting a car since March 17th it's now April 4. Very unhappy with crown Hyundai dealershipReview from Regina M.

Just wanted to compliment Jennifer I. at Crown Hyundai St. Petersburg. She is a very caring sales person. She will go out of her way to help you! Next I would like to say that the Service Department should take notes from her! I have been waiting since the summer to have my backup system repaired. It took me to September to get an appointment. When I finally got the appointment they said it was my radio which was replaced in October! At that time they said it was not the radio but the camera which they would ordered. Called in November to check on camera and was told that they didn't know what happened to the order but they would get me a camera. Then in December I unfortunately backed into a parked car and damaged my car! Yes it was my fault but my backup system would have warned me that I was too close! Went to see Jennifer and she went to Service Manager and found out that the camera was never ordered!!!! My 2021 Santa Fe has been sitting at Crown Collision Center since January 10th, which I understand takes time. Jennifer called me to say that my camera was in and I told Jose at the Collision Center. He stated that he would contact the Service Department. It seems that the Service Department needs to improve their Customer Service-hasn't been the same since Chris left! The Service Department needs to communicate better with their customers! Again, top notch Sales, poor service communication! Just had to let out some bottled up steam!! Regina M.

Crown I am a proud owner of a 2023 Genesis GV70 and absolutely love my car. I planned a trip to GA for the Xmas holidays, and as I headed to my destination my service light illuminated. I contacted the concierge and was informed that Crown Hyundai was the closest dealership to my home. I had several bad experiences with St Petersburg Crown in the early 1980’s and was adamant that I would never do business with them in the future. However, against my better judgment I reconsidered. I contacted Crown and spoke with **** ****** and scheduled an appointment for, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, I was disappointed that the earliest appointment available was in two weeks. However, **** was very pleasant and indicated that we would be best friends. He also, stated that was the normal wait time for Genesis services. I was pleased with his customer service and thought things changed at Crown. **** sent me an invoice confirming my appointment for 10:00 a.m. and informed me that someone would be retrieving my vehicle. Well, no one ever retrieved my vehicle…I called at 10:00, 10:15, 10:30, 1:00, 1:30 and followed up the next day! Tomorrow will be one week and I am still waiting on a call. I am so disappointed with Crown, the least they could have done was returned my calls after leaving several messages. I decided to contact Courtesy Hyundai Genesis and was able to schedule an appointment with the NEXT day! I was pleased with Courtesy Hyundai Genesis and their service. Needless to say that Crown of St. Petersburg will never get my service again. Absolutely horrible service, they left a total distain with me and reaffirmed my initial opinion.Review from Wayne K

Oh, I bought a car from crown. They offer first three oil changes, it takes a month and a half to schedule an oil change. Brought car in for a oil change and a recall seatbelt. Arrived on time for appointment sat there for 2 1/2 hours and nobody was working on my car. I asked if I could come back for another appointment I would’ve had to wait another month and a half. Manager talk to me and said I could take it to another dealer. That’s what I did I end up taking it to Fitzgerald motors. Apparently too busy for the amount of cars they sell.Review from Desiree S

Words are not enough to express how disappointed & dissatisfied I am with the staff here. I had my car towed to the nearest dealership (Crown Hyundai) as it wouldn't jump start. It was a Sunday when it was towed there and we had left a voicemail explaining the situation and hoped for a call back the following day when the service department was available. No one would answer our calls for the next few days. At this point we are frustrated because no one was trying to help or give us an update on my vehicle. I also needed a loaner vehicle which is covered under my warranty and none was never provided to me. When they finally answer they say they did not have any loaners to give and that they would need to run diagnostic on my car first to evaluate how long they would need to fix it so that they could then order me a vehicle to have for the time being. Took them 3 days to finally diagnose my car. Therefore, I needed to spend my own money on Ubers to and from work they could have provided me with the loaner thats covered under my policy from the beginning. Turned out all my car needed was a new battery which wouldve taken them less than 45 minutes to replace the day after it was towed there. But WAIT It Gets Better. I arrive to pick up my vehicle on Thursday, open the door to my car and my new custom leather seat covers are gone!! I spoke with the service manager, ****, in hopes that he would talk to his employees at the shop to find out who stole them and all he did was sit in his chair and stated I dont know what to say. Im sorry. These are just the times that we live in now and they are just going to get worse. Now, I am just completely and utterly perplexed by the level of inadequacy and incompetence at this dealership. Basically, times are so tough right now that even management will cover for the delinquent employees they hired so that they wont lose one & have to try to hire another.Review from Shanise M

i AM LIVID. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT DUE TO SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER MY CAR AND THE APPOINTMENT IS WAY IN SEPTEMBER. WELL MONDAY MY CAR DECIDES TO STOP WORKING. THE STARTER WENT OUT AND GOT MY CAR MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. I CALLED TO CHECK ON MY CAR YESTERDAY AND HEARD FROM SOMEONE NAME JOHN WHO TOLD ME HE HAD ME WRITTEN UP AND WOULD CALL BACK. I CALLED TO GET AN UPDATE. NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE! NOBODY! I LEFT VOICEMAILS AND SENT EMAILS. HE DECIDES TO CALL ME AFTER 5PM WHEN HE STATED PRIOR HE WAS GOING TO CAL EARLY AFTERNOON TO TELL ME MY CAR HASNT BEEN TOUCHED AND HE HAD NO RENTALS. NOW WE ARE AT TODAY. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM ANYONE. IVE CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES.THE CALLS ARE DROPPING AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON. I PAY FOR THE PLATINUM WARRANTY AND HAVE NO RENTAL. NO UPDATE ON MY CAR AND NOBODY TO ANSWER THE **** PHONE! IVE SENT COUNTLESS EMAILS TO CORPORATE WITH NO RESPONSE. AT THIS POINT I DONT EVEN KNOW IF MY CAR IS STILL THERE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. HORRIBLE! I WOULDNT EVEN GIVE THEM THE ONE STAR I GAVE.
