I was recommended to Sunshine Plumbing. I bought a faucet and I needed a plumber to install it. The plumber that came out disassembled the faucet and then he told me that my faucet did not have a deck plate. I asked him to try the one from my old faucet. He said he damaged it when he disassembled it. Then he turn it around and said that it might work that way. Then he told me that it wouldn't work without even trying to make it fit. He told me that he would have to come back and leave everything as is, or he could go to ********** and buy a faucet like mine with a deck plate. He took a picture of the faucet. Then he called and told me that there were no faucets like the one I bought and that the only one was a **** for $200.00. He made it sound like I had no choice but to let him buy the faucet. I felt coerced into buying the faucet. So I told him to buy it. He charged me $508.00 for the job. He charged me for his time going to **********. If he would have told me before he disassembled the faucet, I would have returned it to Amazon and purchased the same one with a deck plate. He also charged me an extra 3% for using my credit card. He never gave me a receipt for the faucet that he supposedly bought from **********. He hauled away my old faucet and the box for the new faucet. I want the receipt for the faucet.Initial Complaint

If only I had done my homework and checked with BBB before I hired, Billy the Sunshine Plumber. O would not be in the situation I'm in now. "Dishonesty and poor workmanship," as stated in the previous complaint is an understatement. They, Billy the Sunshine Plumber didn't inform me that ADA handicapped toilets have different heights, and they didn't measure the space in which they would be installed...I know nothing about toilets and trusted that they knew what they were doing. One bathroom is too small for the toilet with an oblong seat...Hence the door wouldn't close...It was installed anyway....I was told that a toilet would have to be "special ordered," one with a round seat and I would have to pay for this 3rd toilet because it was my fault....They used non-matching parts, colors/shades didn't match and upon replacing a lid, brought a plastic piece of.....It's obviously their practice to skimp on products. When asked about the reason for the mixed/mismatching, they were rude and danced around an explanation. Obviously, do your homework and learn from my mistake...Billy the Sunshine Plumber doesn't do quality work and they certainly don't know how do speak to customers....Not to be recommended.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/11/29) */ This customer called our company to install 2 ADA toilets which we did upon her request. We installed the toilets she requested. After a week she called back not happy about the toilet due to a fitment issue she had, our company special ordered another toilet for her and installed it. We told her about the price difference for the special order toilet and she agreed, then after installation she stopped payment on the check. there were no additional labor charges only material which she would have paid on the original install but due to her ordering the wrong toilets our company had to pay the price which she did not. This customer was not going to be happy no matter what was done. We did additional work and installed additional materials which we were not compensated for. Our company fixed the issue she was not happy about and she still berated our business and did not pay us Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2021/11/29) */ I just saw their response...I called Billy the Sunshine Plumber, to install 2 handicapped commodes. They ordered commodes without measuring the space where they would be installed. They also did not advised that there are different heights and the commode that was installed in one of the bathrooms was too large for the space provided and should never have been installed....The height of both commodes is not adequate and will need to be replaced by a professional plumbing company....They did install another commode, an American Standard commode with non matching parts...Both installations have parts from different companies and nothing matches...This company may be able to fix a leak, but they certainly know nothing about proper installation of toilets. Consumer Response /* (3000, 27, 2021/12/17) */ This commode was installed in the master bathroom...The purpose of installing an ADA handicapped toilet was so I didn't have to use the portable ADA apparatus that is pictured here...Also, a plastic lid was placed on this commode...Unacceptable!...This job was slapped together by Billy the Sunshine Plumber...I certainty would not reccomend this company...Not even to fix a minor leak....****** ******
