Paid $1 for car *** report for one car. Was automatically signed up for $23.95 membership without knowing. Asked for refund with no response. Emailed them that I would contact the BBB, and was told refund issued. Didn't get refund do to new bank card. Let them know about new card, and again no response. Got new card because of them. They put in a .97 cent charge to see if it would work, then they charged my account the $23.95. I thought I had a fraud case and had my credit union cancel my card and issue a new one.I let them know they need my new card for the refund but they wouldn't respond.Initial Complaint

On November 24, 2022, I was looking for a way to possibly locate if my son's car which had been stolen, had been towed. I came across VehicleRecords.net, which said that tow records were included. It said that it would be a charge of $1.00 on my debit card. 4 days after I got the report, I checked my bank account, only to find that they charged me not only the $1.00, but also charged me $23.95. I contacted them immediately and was told my account was closed and I would get my refund in 5-7 business days. After 10 days, I emailed them and called them again. The "answering service" said that they would pass on my info, but they couldn't do anything else. The email I recieved stated that I should contact my financial institution. To date I have called and emailed them daily, and have not received my money. This is a total scam!Initial Complaint

This company has billed me $23.95 three additional times for a car search and refuses to refund the additional charges. In fact, when I logged onto the website, the site says there will be a $1.00 charge, but an additional $0.95 charge and an additional $23.95 charge was billed on 11/24/22. I have stopped payment on these three additional charges ($23.95 x 3) and have filed a complaint with the ******** ************************** This company needs to be shut down by the AG's office for fraud. CEO needs to be the one sitting in jail.Initial Complaint

I agreed to pay $1 for a vehicle history report. I never received the report. What I did receive was multiple charges for $1 or .97 cents and even a couple for $23.95. I contact the ************ number where I received an answering service who stated that they would cancel the subscription (that I never signed up for) and that I would receive a refund for all charges. Here we are 10 days later with no refund. These people are a scam!!Initial Complaint

******************************** used this service to look up one VIN for a used car only to find they charged by debit card $24.95 per month for 2 months. I currently have $24.95 pending charge on my credit card account. I've called to cancel and request a refund. The company says "it has been processed". I want to warn everyone that every attempted call is received by an answering service that claims to forward the cancelation and refund request. So far nothing has been done.Initial Complaint

I went online to obtain a copy of a carfax report so I could get a bonded title. I found this website that said 1 carfax report for $****. I clicked on it and obtained a report for $****, so I thought. I checked my bank account several days later to see that I had been charged **** on Oct 11th then .95 on Oct 11th then ***** on Oct 11th then ***** on Oct 24th then once more charged ***** on Nov 3rd. That was ***** total when all I was supposed to pay was ****. I got in touch with them on November 2nd by phone and they told me they only did refunds my email. I emailed them and received an email back stating that they would not be charging me any longer and would refund ***** within 5 business days. I waited 10 business days before I got back in touch and they assured me they would take care of it. I have sent several emails since then and have gotten no response and no refund. It has been more than a month now and still nothing. Can you help me in getting my refund back from this company please?Initial Complaint

I bought a .99$ cent vehicle vin report around nov. 15th 2022. I looked at my bank account this morning and theyve been billing me .97$ Cents a day since than and they shouldnt be charging me this is theft. I authorized one payment of .99$ Cents not to be charged everyday.Initial Complaint

On October 17th, 2022, I decided to research the *** of a vehicle I had recently purchased. I came across vehiclerecords.net which was advertising $1 to lookup a single ***. During purchase, it required me to fill out forms with sensitive personal data, including things like SSN, due to the "legal" purposes of looking up such records. After the purchase, I questioned whether the data it gave me was even legit.When I checked my bank, I had both a charge for $1 from "carvinrecords.com", as well as a $23.95 charge from the same. I thought maybe I missed some fine print somewhere, and let it pass. Then a week later, another charge for $23.95. Now I knew something was wrong, and I was being charged weekly for something I never knew I was signing up for. Website gave email for cancellation or refunds, I emailed, no response. Another week later, another charge, still no response. So I called after the 3rd charge and spoke with a woman who claimed to be trying to find my transactions. I could barely understand her, but she said I would get an email soon. That was 2 days ago on 11/7/2022, and I sent a third email today asking that someone respond. Still nothing.Initial Complaint

Site states $1 report and has you enter credit card info, next screen informs of 1 month unlimited reports with a "next" button so it appears as it's only informing you of the plan, not actually making you buy it. CS rep on Oct 3 said they issued a refund that should take 3-5 business days and as of ***** ive still not received it. I emailed back on ***** after the 6 business days were over and have yet to get a reply after my 1st messages were replied to within a day!
