**************** makes promises Operations does not keep. Was quoted by ** $99.00 to have thermostat moved from outside wall to adjacent interior wall. Technician next morning did not want to move it but I confirmed it was to be moved. After 1.5 hours of taking temperature readings, measuring distances and talking on the phone with supervisor and Operations Manager he announced it would cost over $700.00 to move the thermostat. I noted that when they originally installed it it was mounted incorrectly on the outside wall and that was against the manufacturers directives per the installation manual. The Operations Manager lowered the cost to $350.00 which is still outrageous given the ** quote and the original installation error. They claimed the $99.00 quote from ** was only for the visit. We spent almost $18,000.00 on the original install and have provided multiple referrals and this is the disrespect given. Be very wary of anything DelAir says or does. I must add the tech was very courteous and professional in his communications as he passed along the terrible ** and ********************* information and decisions. Never again will DelAir we be a customer nor recommend them. Just the opposite, we will warn others of their dishonesty, shoddy work and misleading information they do not stand behind.Review from Barbara W

I had Delair to come out and replace my air conditioning calling system. Mr. *********************** goes by K.C arrived on time he was very thorough cleaned up behind his self and very attention to detail. I really really enjoyed him in my home and he did an excellent job and getting my air conditioning up and running very respectful and I just want to say thank you for a wonderful job for being so kind for being so professional, and explained everything that he was doing and showed me things to look for on my air conditioning unit thank you, Mr. ************************ (***) he went above and beyond and that's what customer service is all about.Review from Rita A

My air conditioner was working when Del Air arrived. The issue was with the upstairs unit. I was told that both units were bad and needed to be replaced. Both were low on Freon. I was quoted $44,000 for two three stage units.Not in my budget. I was told that both units had mold. My son had flushed out the upstairs unit, because we have had water in the base before, two days prior to the service call. We were told that the water was back. The salesman told me on the phone NOT to get another estimate. Very strange response indeed!I had another company come out to evaluate the situation.. I had no air conditioning for 6 days. The technician said that the lower unit was BONE DRY, and that he never had this issue after another company had serviced a system. He said that the situation was suspicious to him and it was to my son and myself. Meanwhile I kept getting texts from the salesman to the point that I called Del Air and asked them to contact him and have him stop texting me.. Surprisingly, the unit is working fine after 3 pounds of Freon.My son and I feel that we were misled by Del Air.. The main report was the mold issue per Del Air. I have respiratory issues and mold is a trigger word.No mold in the main level unit. The lighting system to reduce the mold is not necessary for the lower unit. Fire alarms went off during instal if my new ac unit. **** told my husband in broken English that it wasn't his problem, that my ***** needed to deal with it himself and tech said he was leaving in the middle of install. The second person stayed and did the job for two. No instruction on how to set up a he thermostat. I figured it out myself. Then an hour later the screen went black and so said it was offline. Spent 20k for this!?? Horrible service and product!!! Said del air bought out ******* air. When I called del air back twice after my last issues the girl said I didnt exist in their database yet the person who sold me the unit said he was with del air!! Don't use Del-Air for your AC. Our unit was two years old in Oct 2022 and originally installed by Del-Air in our community so we called them when the air wasn't working. We trusted them and expected the issue to be resolved. Then another issue May of 2024 so we call again. Again, we assume they are thorough & skillful. Wrong.T hey did a botch job, overcharged each time, took advantage of unsuspecting senior homeowners, and fell just short of causing a potential fire. Found this out when one month later, system failed again. Now we chose someone else. Details: 10-28-22 ******** ****** Evaporator Coil and Replace Sweat TXV to 5 tons. De-ice coil, then found a failed TXV. Water **** on LR ceiling as a result-warranty $1564. However average cost to replace a TXV is between $100-$700!5-22-24 Evaporator coil vertical installation-warranty $1622. Then just one month later:6-14-24 *********** $1100 to repair properly-5 hrs diagnose Del-Air mistakes and correct them.Valve was bad and had to be replaced. The copper going into the drain line was broken, and they tried to weld it, burnt cover badly, and put black sticky over it. Couldnt get to the inside of that coil, so had to pull it out, fix the kinked line, and saw the black burn they tried to hide. They ran insulation to the system but it looks really bad. Cleaned out the lines, opened them up, but the pressure was still very low @6 lbs. Unit only takes 7 lbs, so it was leaking somewhere. Searched outside by opening up the lines and found the completely rotted out line (rusted). All the freon was going there. Pressure was restored. Both warranty jobs were over priced, and botched.So now, the initial small water **** on my ceiling, is now about 3 feet long due to the system freezing up the 2nd and 3rd time after Del-Air 'repaired' it and saturating floor.Unfortunately had to pick 1 star to write this, but they don't deserve any. Del-Air installed our *** unit during our new construction. Instead of following the instructions for placement of in/out ducts, the technician installed all four of the in/out ducts to the wrong ports which reduces efficiency of the unit and renders the optional controls useless. The technician also connected the outside air return to enter the line after the air handler. This means that the outside air feeds directly into the house (post air handler ducting) which has caused our humidity to be higher. Additionally, the *** is unable to be serviced. The unit contains a large cube (approx. 12"x12") that needs to be cleaned frequently, unfortunately the door can only open 2/3 of the way before it hits the air handler meaning there is no way to clean it. Finally, the ducting coming out of the *** is at a near 90 degree angle which prohibits proper air flow. My initial Del-Air rep came out and was embarrassed by the entire job and promised to get it resolved. Unfortunately, that was February 29, 2024 and yet four months and nearly 20 phone calls later, the issue still hasn't been resolved. Every Del-Air rep including the Warranty Supervisor *************************** has acknowledged and promised Del-Air will make it right, however, nothing seems to get resolved. I have had this service set for repair four times and each time Del-Air No call/No showed on me. Reps at the call center and in the warranty group have escalated this to management four times (most recently today), but I never get a call back.
