Business failed to acknowledge receipt of HOA payment for 30+ days. Payment was auto-withdrawn from owners bank account on 2nd of April and transfer of funds into Capstones HOA account occurred that same day. Over three weeks after April 2nd HOA sent a payment demand for a payment their bank had already received. At that point we were very concerned that our $4000+ transfer was lost or misrouted. Calls to Capstone went unreturned. They finally acknowledged that they hadnt proactively gotten a report from the bank. Why they sent collection notices to an owner that has literally never been late on a quarterly payment in over 15+ years is unbelievable and unprofessional. We have asked Capstone for an official letter (just as they sent for collection of funds that were not due) outlining their error and confirming receipt and recording of the funds we paid them over a month ago. As our money was lost for over a month and they then ask for money again that they had received, we suggested they quickly review and revise their processes, so no other owner has to be concerned their money is lost in cyberspace. To date we have no official notification that the April 2nd payment has been correctly applied nor the late fees reversed. We also have no way to check it online after we requested this option. Bottom line for us they lost our money for a month and then compounded their error by sending a payment demand and threatening all kinds of punitive action. They never return phone calls nor speak to us when we come to their office. Very unprofessional.
