My name is *************************, and I was involved in a car accident in October of 2021. I went to the hospital retained an attorney ***********************, and began treatment at Physicians Group LLC. I had ******************** with PIP coverage of 10K. We hadnt got a police report for over 10 days, and fault wasnt established. I was very hesitant to continue with treatment at this point but was assured by both the doctor in the Physicians Group, and my attorney that I wouldnt receive a bill. Once I got the police report it had me as the at fault driver so I decided to stop being treated at Physicians Group because I didnt want to receive a bunch of outstanding bills. I am very confused why I am now receiving these bills from them when I only had maybe 3 appointments in there office, and was assured by the doctor my 10 thousand dollars of PIP insurance was not going to be exceeded, and I wasnt going to receive a bill. I am in subsidized housing, and on food stamps so I cant afford this outrageous bill! I also have county health insurance so maybe they will pay this but I sure can not. I hope there can be a positive resolution to this issue.Business response

Dear BBB: Attached is the itemized statement for ********************. .He did indeed treat with Physicians Group and his No-Fault (***) insurance did pay for his treatment to the limits of their policy. The *** statute, FS ******* provides that the insurer must pay 80% of the applicable ******** Fee Schedule for the services rendered. They did that, and the "adjustments" listed on the itemized statement represent the statutory reductions to our billed amount to the ******** Fee schedule. ******************** is not liable for those adjustments.
******************** called the billing office today and they decided to give him a courtesy reduction for the balance due on his bill. The $90.38 represents money unpaid by State farm which is not ************************ responsibility and Physicans Group will be dealing with the collection efforts on that amount, Regardless how thoese efforts work out, he will not be responsible for that amount either.
