      Purchased tickets through Sarasota box office to a rodeo at the Hillsborough County fair grounds on 07/16/2022. I called both the fair grounds, and Sarasota box office to issue me a refund due to inclimate weather. I was told it is "a rain or shine event and we cannot issue a refund". No where on their website, nor on the tickets itself does it say this. Furthermore, it is beyond just rain. There is high amounts of lightning in the area, making it safety concern for my family and I. When I asked "Ken" and "Owen" on the phone, that we would be put into unsafe conditions, they still refused to issue a refund. The owner of the company is literally in the fairground itself. He knows its not safe for staff and guests to be outside. They do not have a refund policy posted on their website as well. I will be contacting my bank to retrieve my money, and if they're not able to, I would like the BBB to help me retrieve my refund.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/18) */ It was well advertised, including on our website, social media, TV and Newspaper that this was a "Rain or Shine" event. Over 3,500 patrons witnessed and enjoyed this event and were on hand in the arena until 11:00PM (names available to BBB on request). There was also no lightening in the area and local law enforcement were on hand to deem the area safe for the public. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Here are the pictures from looking up the event, to purchasing tickets, from your own website. Please inform me of where is says "rain or shine event". The fact of the matter is that if you are not clearly labeling the service you are providing (or lack thereof). If I'm able to (start to finish) purchase something from you, and it is not as advertised, I want a refund for the tickets. Please stop this back and forth, fix your website, and do the right thing; issue refunds for those who did not feel safe at your event.

      I purchased tickets online to attend the Lewis and Clark Circus for May 8th, 2022 at 4pm at Onslow Pines Park in Jacksonville NC. When we arrived the even was not at all as advertised. The show was outdoor in the open area in the rain where it was advertised under a tent. We decided given the weather and the fact that the set up was nothing close to what is advertised online and our infant daughter being in the rain that we wanted a refund. I waited in line for 20 minutes and still didn't get to the concession area where they were selling food and tickets to the show to ask for a refund. They had been telling other families to go online to request a refund under the contact us tab. After we left we found dozens of other reviews on their Facebook page and the local pages that she show was only 36 minutes long when it's advertised for 90 minutes. Several shows were canceled without notice and for those who have requested refund NONE of them have received a single dollar in return.
