I bought a used EZGO gas cart for $8000 {AS IS no warranty} from this company. When I got the cart the brake would not hold and it rolled more than once. The cart had a low oil level reading as measured by the stock dipstick. I did not know and was not informed that is normal on a lifted cart. I added approximately 4 ounces of oil. The cart never ran correctly (needs to be choked when warm to get going again). When I called about these issues they sent a repairman out the next day to fix the brake. After he finished the repair I noticed that the brake didn't automatically kick off when pressing the gas pedal and I asked him about that and he said that this model doesn't have that feature (Not True). When I asked about the cart not running correctly I was told it was probably because I over filled the oil. The next day I bought an extraction pump and removed the amount of oil I added. The cart still didn't run correctly. The company agreed to take it in to check it over and make the needed repairs. I was told after the repairs that I should come and test drive it before they returned it to me. This is not possible since they have a very small parking lot area for test drives and the cart needs to be very warm to exhibit the symptoms it is having. I told them that if it's fixed, just return the cart. When I got the cart back the parking brake was working properly and they had replaced the air box cover and the clips to secure it. However it still stalls when warm. They did not charge me for any of these repairs. They called it a one-time good will repair.
So here I am with an $8000 golf cart that doesn't run right, I foolishly bought it AS IS. The following was the sellers description.

BRAND NEW EVERYTHING! This gorgeous '01 E-Z-GO TXT was completely rebuilt in 2021 from the ground up and is LOADED with goodies including:
BRAND NEW Robbins 295, 2 Cylinder Engine (Runs Like a Champ)
    BRAND NEW Belts/Filters
    BRAND NEW Fuel Pump
    BRAND NEW 6" LIFT KIT
    BRAND NEW Steering/Suspension Components
    BRAND NEW Seats
    BRAND NEW Tinted Windshield
    BRAND NEW Factory Top
    2001 Chassis, Completely restored
Completely rebuilt and ready to roll! A lot of time, money and hard work was put into the transformation of this cart and it shows!

I trusted them, I shouldn't have. All I wanted was a good running golf cart. Now I don't have the money to buy another or make the repairs on this one. Don't be me.

    Mr. *****,

We are truly sorry to hear about your experience with us. We strive to go above and beyond for our customers and pride ourselves on the quality work that we produce. As you stated in your review, you purchased the cart AS-IS with NO WARRANTY. If you had concerns about the cart, those should've been discussed prior to your purchase, during the sales process. Furthermore, during your test drive at our facility, there were no issues with the cart requiring excessive choking to operate. As you stated, you took it upon yourself to overfill the crankcase with oil, as you thought the oil level was low. Logic would dictate that if you're unsure of how much oil should be in a small engine, calling the dealership and asking them for guidance before deciding to DIY is a good idea. Your issues with excessive choking did not start until the crankcase was overfilled. Regarding the hill brake, if, in fact, you were incorrectly informed about its operation, we do apologize for that and will take the appropriate steps to correct those actions with our technicians. However, we were more than willing to correct your issues and we agreed to do it at no charge to you, despite the cart being bought AS-IS with NO WARRANTY. We replaced the airbox cover and clips, corrected the hill brake issue and test drove your cart multiple times with no issues. No excessive choking was needed. You were then asked to take a test drive at our facility when the repairs were completed to ensure that that all issues were resolved. You declined the test drive, stating that our lot is not large enough to get the cart completely warmed up. That's simply not true. Distance does not determine how warm an engine gets. Run time is the deciding factor in engine temps. and we had your cart very warm during testing. Your decision to decline a test drive, even though we highly suggested it, is no fault of ours. Again, we wanted to eliminate any possibility that a problem still existed, as the cart was running with no issues during our test drives. You state you don't have the money to buy another golf cart or make the repairs on this one, yet you call us and ask us to recommend a mechanic to you so it can "be fixed." That is insulting to us as a business, especially after we fixed your cart for free when you bought it AS-IS with NO WARRANTY. We've been in business for over 30 years and have thousands of satisfied customers. We run hundreds of carts through our service department a year and 99% of those vehicles leave here fully repaired as requested. Your situation is certainly unique, and we've offered you all that we can for free. Should you choose to address any remaining issues you think the cart may have, we are always willing to help. Best of luck to you.
