Myself and my son were patients at the Maxhealth location at **************************************************** *********** can't get referrals done that was wanted and then sends referrals that wasn't discussed with the doctor. After my son filed a complaint on this office manager **** she proceeded to send a referral for a Mammogram that wasn't discussed with the doctor I feel she did this out of retaliation because of the issue my son had with her ( ******************************* ) the last time i discussed a ********* with Doctor ***************************** was around October of 2023 when i told him no and I would let him know when I wanted that done but I got the referral sent to me a couple of weeks ago after I changed doctors. Why can a office manager make the decision without a doctors or patients authorization that said he requested it but she does the referrals and i hadn't discussed this with him so why was it sent ? this appt was canceled but this shows what kind of office she runs the doctors not even in charge of the office she is ! I tried contacting the corporate office and that don't feel it's important to call you back 2 weeks later still nothing I was with my son when they stated they were discussing him in the office also and feel like that's unprofessional and potentially unlawful. They made us feel very awkward and the care they claimed to show was in fact not there. They are still attempting to contact him leaving voicemails we called today to get the records picked up and learned they want to charge a patient for pickup but will send to the other doctor for no charge ????? what does it matter who gets them but they want to charge the patient HMMM ? This Complaint is on the ******************* Location at ******************************************************************************** I started going to this location October 2023 everything was going ok until I was given a referral for a Pulmonologist I found out that this was a sleep center instead and canceled the appt. **** the office manager took it upon herself to reschedule it without discussing it with me or the doctor even after I told her I didn't want to go to a sleep center. So I obviously didn't go when **** found out the appt wasn't kept she tried calling me a few times but due to death in the family she didn't reach me I then received a threatening letter at my home I was concerned and called the location and spoke to the person answering the phone and told them I didn't appreciate their letter and that I am in charge of my health care I don't need her scheduling appts without my knowledge. I thought that was over next appt I went with my mother because we were told to come together to get our labs done the Rose wouldn't take my labs because of my earlier conversation with her so I left. on the next appt with the doctor i learned that she was discussing me and my health care with everyone else in the office which I don't believe she should be doing I learned this for the doctors nurse because i asked her about the labs and proceeded to tel her about what happened and she stated ( I heard all about it ) How unprofessional and thought was that a violation of the Hipaa Privacy ? Not to mention how it made me feel as a patient. so I filed a complaint but no one not even her supervisor returned my phone call so it was obvious they were filtering my phone calls because I used different numbers when I called with mine no answer or call back and then when I used a number they didn't recognize they answered so she never rescheduled the home sleep study that she stated that she would on ******** they have other complaints of the letter she sends out patients shouldn't be treated this wayInitial Complaint

I used to go to Maxhealth about 5 years ago. I decided to go back. I made an appointed to get my lab work done on 7-7-21. Upon arrival to get my lab work done they told me I must see a doctor first before I can get my blood work done. Before seeing the doctor I stated I did not want to be charged for both seeing the doctor now and after my blood work was done. They told me I would only be charged for 1 visit. The initial visit was only about 5 minutes I wanted the same blood work I always get. Then on 7-27-21 I received a bill which I was charged 211.00 for my initial visit After insurance the amount was 145.00. My complaint is that I was told I would only be charged for 1 visit. I stated that if I was going to be charged for both visits I would stay with my current Dr. I have called the office and billing department about 15 times I have left voicemail messages and left messages with staff regarding the billing issue. I did talk to the office manage 1 time but never again.
