      My Husband and I purchased a New GE Washing Machine and GE Dryer along with other Appliances from Mullets Appliances in ************. We remodeled our Condo in ** and when it was finished we had our new Washing Machine and Dryer installed. Since we had it installed Our first problem was with the Washing Machine when I put my Laundry in and started the cycle the machine would shut off and the door would not open to get my laundry out. I called Mullets they scheduled their Service Man to come over. He said he thought it was a panel so they put in a new one. Again I put my laundry in and the same thing happened the door would not open so they sent over the same Service Man who scratched his head. He played with the door and told me it works after we played with turned off and on my fuse box. and banging on the Machine door Again it did not work. Called Again He said maybe it needs a new door and he said you are now off your Warranty so you have to pay for it. We told him this has been an ongoing problem since we bought the machine and haven't been able to use it. I am using the washing machines at the end of the hall of our Condo when I have a brand new Machine that doesn't work. I called the Manager at Mullets he said I will see if I can get you an extended Warranty from GE he said I will let you know. I never heard from him but heard from their Service *************** to schedule putting the new door in we asked have they extended Warranty she said I don't know I will check and we never heard back from them. I called GE Appliances Direct and talked to a Representative today and told her the problem and she transferred me to a representative and gave me their ************ phone number. I have been holding for almost a hour. We think we have a Lemon Washing Machine and would like a full refund, or Exchange. *********************. SERIAL # ******* We are hoping you can help us out with this ongoing problem. Thank you

      We show the washer was delivered 3/25/2021. The first service call was on 7/12/2021 (4 months later) with the complaint " after running a load the washer flooded". Our technician went out and could not duplicate the problem. The next service call was on 4/14/2022 (9 months after the last service) when the lid locked and they couldn't get it to open. Our service tech went out and replaced a control under warranty and the unit worked while he was there. The final service call was called in on 5/28/2022 (1 1/2 months after the last service) with the complaint "lid locking and won't start". Unfortunately, the washer has a 1 year warranty which expired 3/26/2022 so now the repair is not under warranty. The service call dates were far apart and the first service had nothing to do with the final 2 service calls. At this time, there is nothing that we can do as we are not the manufacturer of the washer so we cannot authorize an out of warranty repair or exchange. If the customer does not want to pay for a repair then they will need to get it authorized by the manufacturer.

      I am rejecting this response because:  We do not live in our Condo in ********** ** full time.  We own a  Construction ********************** in ******** so that  is why there is a space between the dates. Mullets Sales and the Service Man knows this. There is no excuse for a new Washing Machine to be broke down so many times  in the first year.  We waited along time to get our Appliances but understood it was because of the Covid Virus.  I have  contacted GE direct who apologized to us for this problem with Mullets Appliances and said if we would have called them sooner they would have resolved this problem right away.  GE is extending our warranty and they have scheduled and our sending their Service Representative to fix the Washing Machine.   Mullets does not stand behind their word!

      Again, we do not manufacture the unit or set the stipulations for the warranty. Your complaint is with GE the manufacturer that you seem to be happy with but you are upset with us. This makes no sense. It sounds like you have it resolved with GE the manufacturer who actually makes the unit that has failed you so many times so we will close this service.

      I am rejecting this response because:  Mullets mislead us with false information how they would take care of us and then they didn't.  The Manager told us  the last time we talked after their Service Person was at our Condo and he said he would call us with an answer to getting a extended warranty he would have to call and we never received a  call back from him but receive a call from Service Person asking us for Payment for Parts before they come to Service. We asked if they extended the Warranty she said she didn't know anything about that. We spent a lot of money at their Store buying all our Appliances there for our remodel.  We are really disappointed and that is why we are rejecting their response.  They should stand behind the Appliances they are selling and not blame it on the Manufacturer and the Customer.
