      *********************** is now posing under this company.He switched from Mod-Zen Construction.He took $12,456 deposit from me for a bathroom project and destroyed the bathroom!Inside Walls, floors, electrical, and outside walls destroying siding!!!He keeps promising me to refund my money since December 2023.       This is not true, YES ************ signed a contract with Mod- Zen Construction <we did the demolition

      first and ordered the materials while we would obtain the permit for the job,during  this time she was having other work done by a un licensed contractor , we agreed to back away from the job , and refund her money back, Mod- zen is trying to work out the terms now,she will receive a refund.

      ******************** at American Mobile Homes was supposed to repair a beam under my mobile home. The transaction too place on April 10th. The full amount was wired to him as he said he needed it to order the part. he said the hepair would be done by the week end. it still has not been done. We need to have it repaired in order to sell it so that that we can purchase another in ******** to be near family as ou health is failling.

      Called AMHS for a quote on Vapor Barrier. Gentleman came to my house and quoted me a price of $5790.00. Price was for taking out old insulation and replacing with new insulation and installing a new vapor barrier. was told that they could do the work in the next 2 weeks.Was asked to pay half down to start the work $2895.00. The date we signed the paper was 3/6/2024. The next day a man came out and removed the insulation from under the house. he finished for the day and said someone would be back on Monday to finish the job. Have not seen anyone since. I have emailed ********************* twice. Last email was told they would be out to work on the house Thursday and Friday March 7and 8. Have not heard from them since. will not return emails and drove to the address listed on the paper work. One place was a garage door in a building. The other place I was confronted by a person who said multiple people were looking for ********************* but that was not his place of business. Emailed ********************* 3/6/2024. 3/10/2024. No response

      Signed contract with company Dec 8th, 2023. Realize hurricane *** did a vast amount of damage to our area. But every time I get a contact from the company they assure me they understand my concerns and will be here-even used the word ASAP at one point -to get the work done. They lie-CYA I guess to get people off of their backs but that is only once they do respond. Say they understand our concerns-people will be there and then nothing happens.       I am rejecting this response because:
      They were on site...have not finished because all materials were not delivered. Believe delay in working our site is because they claimed they could not find the second payment we gave them. Made first payment in Dec of 2022 and  second payment not even a month later in Jan of 2023. *** who took the check said "OK, now we can order your materials." So here we are in Feb of **** and feel that the number of times they have said we were "next on the list" and were going to be here and did not show has just aggravated us to no end. Just want what we contracted for to be done and pass inspection. Want ******* checked out and other jobs but will looking elsewhere for that evn if we have to wait on that.

      More than 2 years ago we hired this company American mobile home to move a modular house in Sarasota county, **** did not want us to go to sign the contract at the office, he offered to sign at our house, we signed the contract in the presence of my brother and we gave him $6,500 to start working, in the contract we signed we agreed that he would receive this amount at the beginning and at the end we would give $20,000 the work he had to do was move the modular house for 3 to 6 weeks, this amount of time was decided by him and we agreed. Approximately a year ago I started working but they have had many mistakes, they do not present the correct information to obtain the corresponding permit and the county tells us that the permit is stopped because of him, now we are desperate because we have been paying for two years an income that is increasingly more expensive and all thanks to the fact that our project is not finished.

       This company is trying to blame us when the county has been waiting for 4 months to update their insurance and licenses and so they have spent 2 years with these same pretexts. We have been trying to talk to this company for more than a months and they simple do not answer my messages.

      Rechazo esta respuesta porque: In the documents that I put on the page I have put the messages that the county has been sending me and none of them mention that there are problems in engineering and zoning, all the problems are related to licenses and insurance, this Monday I asked again and everything continues equal. I just want this company to have a date to finish my project, which should have been completed in a maximum of 6 weeks and has taken more than 2 years, I'm just waiting for the specific date for them to finish my project. Would you like me to send more documents that the county has sent me?

      April 1 2023 A wire transfer was accidentally sent to this business after all work was completed and fully paid for in November 2022.The Owner *********************** acknowledged that I am paid ** in full.The sum of the wire transfer is $3,480 which was accidentally sent because I grabbed the wrong previous wire transfer slip to copy the information. I spoke to the owner on the phone who recognized the mistake and said the cheque was mailed by text to me.Since This has happened i have tried numerous times to contact them by phone, text and email and am sure they have blocked my number.I Spoke to **** from his office today by calling from a different number and she said they credited the amount to a friend of mine ************************* who is currently in dispute with the owner *********************** for current work being done and money owing.nothing to do with me.

      Date of transaction 12/7/21, AMHS started job and partial completed took an additional deposit 12/23/2022 to work on roof but never came back to finish job. We went to someone else and tried to have them put remaining funds toward another project but they never came back out. We have had a problem getting the materials the customer requested because of the delays in the supply chain.       Work not done to code per Sarasota County code enforcement. Cannot locate 2 frame tie downs, roof over straps not done correctly after 5 attempts to correct. Asked for new contract stating my $1000 down payment showed as paid in full without owing additional $850 due since contract not completed to code. Requested certificate of insurance as well. Was told my Mike C. on 4/13/22 would email above information. Requested again on 4/14 before taking further action. Now appears there are 2 frame anchors that cannot be located, damage to eaves & gutters from roof over straps being initially installed over them vs behind. Straps not done to code leaving my home looking like a circus tent. Non compliant sending me requested information, no further correspondence from Mike. Now asking for a full refund of my $1000 down payment so all the frame tie downs & roof over straps can be done correctly. Needs to be done correctly by 4/22/22 by another company due to ******************** program coating my roof with *********. Cannot change date due to this coating being done through the States program terms. This company needs to be put out of business for not following county code nor knowing how to do work performed. Mike sure is charming however not charming enough to get away with fraudulent claims after taking my money!

Still have not received a copy of updated contract for warranty purposes or Certificate of Insurance as requested from Mike on numerous occasions. Job was completed by Justin & Dillon, contractors for Mike C******. Had contacted Mike after they came out the first time to start correcting issues to see when they would be returning & got zero response. Contacted Justin directly after he had left a prior voicemail & Justin returned my text asap. Justin & Dillon went above & beyond to complete the job with full communication which was far more than received from company owner Mike. Mike C****** called me "stupid" & "smart person" in a derogatory manner after sending him information via text messaging on the Sarasota County code from Sarasota County Code Enforcement explaining that the job needed to be completed to these standards. Please see attached texts. He tried to apologize after I told him not to call me names & stated he was using voice to text. I spoke to C******** after she called & left me a voicemail asking me to retract my complaint on 4/26/2022 prior to the job being completed. I told her I would be happy to state the job was completed once it was done however due to the situation I would not retract my complaint & discussed the name calling texts sent to me by Mike. C******** also left me a message today 4/29/2022 again asking me to retract my complaint stating that Mike would never say that to anyone & that he was speaking to someone in the office vs me however these were text messages & clearly they were not done in error but rather out of poor taste in my opinion. He has never attempted to call me himself to apologize since those texts were sent. I did not return her call as of this time & date. I do strongly feel my experience with this company needs to be on record in effort for other individuals considering using his services to view then allow to choose for themselves vs being hid. There are far too many contractors taking advantage of paying customers. I'm in my *********** & don't want our elderly here in Florida being taken advantage of nor anyone else without recourse. This needs to stop & I'm grateful that the BBB was able to help me. The BBB called this AM as well asking for a retraction & I explained that I did not wish for my comments to be removed but would state the job was finally completed. Mike sent out another crew whom I thought fixed them properly however now my interior ceilings are warping from the roof over straps being installed 3' out from both sides on my mobile home causing it to not only look like a circus tent but turns out there appears to be damage to my trusses inside. The soffet is also damaged from them crimping the roof straps down too tight. This has been reiterated by licensed contractors & another well known tie down/anchor company in the area. Both will be writing up repair estimates for me to take to my attorney for resolution. My over roof straps are STILL installed improperly, are crooked & too many straps over one area of my home were installed. At least half of the frame tie downs where installed too far out from the frame leaving me at risk for accidents to occur for myself & others including the HOA mowing service. I have to hire this other company to finally get them installed properly AND litigate the exterior/interior damage to my home. Mike came to view the job & damaged ceilings stating the other roof straps were not the cause of my ceilings buckling however offered to texture the bedroom ceiling if I painted it. After I contacted Mike about this issue & sent pictures of the damages I was texted by his employee C******** stating that I needed to put in writing that I would retract my initial complaint, then actually retract the complaint & then once they received notice the complaint was removed Mike would come out the next day to discuss. I find this HIGHLY UNETHICAL & quite frankly blackmail! C******** also kept reiterating on a phone conversation that Mike agreed to send another crew out with the additional $850 I owed once job was completed waived as long as I retracted my BBB complaint which was 100% never stated nor documented. We met with her unlicensed contractor friend and went over all her complaints. Her ceiling issues have nothing to do with us. You did NOT meet with my "UNLICENSED CONTRACTOR FRIEND" you met with my HANDYMAN FRIEND LOL. I suggest you actually take the time to read information that is provided to you THROUGH CATHERINE since you refuse to speak to me directly or text me yourself. That alone speaks volumes as a business owner that is honest & has integrity which you clearly lack by calling me "stupid", "Ms Know it All", "Scammer" & "Dishonest." There was no "we" that came out, it was you & my handyman in person at my home with me on speaker phone since by the time you decided to come out & inspect the job I was on vacation. I was unable to be there when YOU DECIDED TO FINALLY COME OUT due to the following text message "Hi Lisa C******** here from Mike's office. Mike really has no hard feelings towards you. He is very happy to take care of your issues as soon as he can get in writing that you are withdrawing the complaint and we can see that on the B B B website. Thank you" I as your customer had to call back yet AGAIN because there is now interior damage to my home after having to file an initial complaint to get your company to come back to fix the job to begin with? Then being told that my initial BBB complaint has to be removed before you address further damages caused to my home by your company??? How dishonest & shady is that? Of course I told you that will never happen & that it was blackmailing so Mike then makes the wise choice to show up. My handyman friend helped me figure out that my ceiling issues were caused by the initial install of the roof over straps causing damage to my ceilings & exterior soffits so THAT is why he met with you while I was away. He knew exactly what was going on & why. The marks on my bedroom ceiling are NOT joint lines from drywall they are my trusses bulging into my ceiling from your over roof strap that was installed 3' out from my home on each side & from being too tight hence the exterior damage to my fascia on both sides. There should of been brackets installed under these straps to avoid this damage. Furthermore my LICENCED CONTRACTOR (not me or anyone else) did put a small piece of drywall to cover an old water damaged area near my bedroom door, scraped off the popcorn ceiling texture that was applied by the previous owners over the original gypsum panels then used mud to skim coat the entire ceiling to make it smooth. There isn't any other drywall in that bedroom! As a licensed contractor you should know this NOT my handyman. My ceiling issues have EVERYTHING to do with your company as my LICENSED CONTRACTOR will attest to. Between the over roof straps being initially installed 3' from my home siding, tightened down too tight & your crew walking on my roof approximately 10 different occasions while trying to get them installed correctly vs a ONE DAY JOB (you install them & I would think you would know what to call them as they are NOT CEILING STRAPS, they are installed on the roof to hold down the roof in case of hurricanes & very strong winds) all caused this damage to my ceilings. You also offered to texture my bedroom ceiling yet took no accountability for your company causing the damage? Why would you offer to texture a ceiling you didn't damage?? Until that occasion you never stepped foot on my property to inspect your crews work, even after I texted you pictures & called you saying the straps did not look right from day 1 other than to come & give me the initial estimate & collected the $1000.00 deposit. You also gave me a signed off Inspection Certification for me to give to my homeowners insurance company yet didn't even give me a date your crew would start the work! I'm attaching a quote for 2 over the roof straps to be installed correctly as well as 6 out of the 10 frame tie downs that were not done correctly either (installed too far away from house frame creating a liability hazzard) as I initially thought after the second crew came out to complete the job until I had a very reputable tie down company come out to access the damages & existing roof straps & tie downs. More $$ out of my pocket. 4 over roof straps installed vs only 2 needed per inspection & 3 of them approx 5' apart all in one area vs one in front of house, one in the middle & one in the back per Sarasota County Code. Now I'll have more holes in my soffit that will need repaired on top of the ones your first crew already made! The over roof straps come from the side of my home to the attached shed at the other side of my home vs down in between the two per code. The over roof straps also were initially placed over my gutters denting them as well. I let that slide since they could be pushed back out although they do still show damage. My vinyl siding cannot be installed until these roof straps are corrected & this reputable company can't even do so until November so again just another huge setback because your company failed at doing what should have been a very simple, one to 2 day job. I'm expecting an estimate for total ceiling repairs from my LICENCED CONTRACTOR tomorrow & another local LICENSED CONTRACTOR by the 15th that will be submitted with this complaint that will solidify I'm not dishonest, a scammer or stupid as you've called me but rather that you are the one lying & scamming not only me but the other customers you blamed for your crews lack of skill/knowledge that also all had further damages done to their homes as well. It's not surprising that not once did you rectify a single complaint but instead blamed them, said they lied, etc which is exactly what you've done to me. I will be seeing this through even if legal action has to be taken as what you are doing to those entrusting your company to do as contracted is criminal & not ethical at all. If me doing so helps save even ONE other customer going through this then I'll be at peace. Remember what you put out to the world comes back tenfold, be it bad or good. Please stop bringing pain, stress & financial loss to others to put $$ in your pocket. This is not the way to run an ethical business, do the right thing for a change, I promise you, you will loose this battle as I have far to much evidence of the damages. He knows this and that to move his house to that place would require time and money which he has stated that he is willing to pay. We are waiting for zoning to come through. This takes time. We have contacted Mr. ******* multiple times every step of the way. Perhaps there is a language barrier. We are doing our best to accomplish his wishes but are at the mercy of planning and zoning.

      I signed a proposal to install new anchors for my mobile home on January 6, mailed with a check for $1312.00 deposit, and sent an email so the work could be scheduled. He replied that he would confirm when he got the check and would install is 2 weeks. The check was cashed January 12 but I got no response. On Feb 2, I sent an e mail asking when the work would be done and he replied he would get an answer asap. On Feb 4, I inquired again. He replied it would be done Feb 9 or 10. It did not happen. Since then has not responded to two e mails and two phone calls. I don't know what to do. American Mobile Home Service has my money but is ignoring me.

After several promises, they finally did half of the job. But, I discovered they skipped one of eleven anchors, obviously not expecting me to check. Now, they don't know how to do the other half. Still getting promises but no action. My mobile home is a 1998 model with 11 straps over the roof and anchored at each end. I discovered that some of them Had rusted off at ground level. It has east access on one side but a brick wall on the other. Mike assured me it was a routine job and he was equipped to work in the crawl space to properly anchor both sides. I contracted with him on January 6,e mailed and called many times but got no action until the BBB got involved. A 2 man crew came and started making holes outside the home. I learned they intended to attach anchors to the frame horizontally, serving no purpose. They then had to make a tool to install the anchors and attach them to the straps Then they informed me that they had no means of installing anchors in the 2 ft. high crawl space. They offered two solutions: One was to bust out the brick wall, the second was to settle for anchoring the easy side only for the half of the price that I had already paid. The job s not done, but this contractor is! I'm looking for a competent contractor to finish the job. We agreed to do the anchors on the left side since the right side was only 2 ft from the ground. we gave the customer 2 options, 1) remove the brick skirting to access the anchors, 2) leave the anchor boxes exposed on the outside. the customer did not want either option and agreed that just doing the anchors on the left was all he wanted. The customer paid for the half of the job we completed, as did not want to go with the options offered. We do not owe him any further work and he does not owe money. There can be no reason why he filed a complaint..
