              This company sold me a water filtration system and also replaced three toilets and sold me a $370 maintenance plan. I was told that the price of the three toilets was a total of $990 only to discover later that the price was $990 per toilet. When I was quoted the price of $990, I looked up the toilet on ********** and discovered that ********** was selling the same toilet for approximately $200-$300 and so I agreed to the $990 total price for three toilets from Wimpy's plumbing. After the toilets were installed and I had paid for the services I looked at the itemized bill only to discover that I was being charged $990 per toilet. I never would have authorized this. I felt that this was deceptive and manipulative. I complained to the manager who only agreed to refund me $300 per toilet. This was not satisfactory. He also agreed to refund me $370 for the service plan but this never happened.

              Wimpy's did my AC Maintenance since 2021. Within the past 1-1/2 years, they told me my AC coolant circuit was "blocked" and they couldn't put in coolant. They keep trying to get me to buy a new unit. Everything was so dire. The unit froze during their first maintenance this year (May,2024) and after. They basically told me it was "breaking down." The AC is 8 years old. It again froze June 6-7,and instead of just trying to put coolant in, they left me, my elderly ill mom, and four rescue elderly animals, in 100 degree heat with no AC. I can't get a loan. I do not have the money for a new unit. I used my food budget this week for a window AC that didn't help much. I dependant mechanic was sent by one of my freinds to help. I NEEDED COOLANT. That's it. All this time, the past year or so, the unit couldn't cool much because it was very low on coolant, which causes the freezing, which them leads to a breakdown. I needed 2-1/2 pounds of coolant. There was NO BLOCKAGE. Nothing was wrong that Wimpy's tried to claim. Beware. Yes, they are all very nice but they do want to sell things. Get a second opinion from a privately owned AC mechanic before going for the expensive system. Complaint forthcoming to BBB.

              I have deleted my review as the owner, Mike, offered a refund of my membership and to pay for the window AC I had to buy. However, the review stars will remain. Thank you for making this right. I still say, if anyone gives you a diagnosis on your HVAC system and it's dire, get an independent tech to check.
