      Bought tickets to Taste of ******** from Powell Promotions. They cancelled the event and don't plan to reschedule the event. I would like a refund of $30 for 2 tickets.

      I am answering your email regarding the cancellation of an event that I run EVERY year for the past 12 years called "A Taste of ********".
      Because this is a Food Tasting Event, tickets ARE and ALWAYS have been Non-Refundable & Non-Exchangeable every year.  We have to know how much food to have available or an Event such as this will not be a success.  


      And, just as important - we can't take a chance on ticketholders to just decide that they don't feel like attending or that the weather might be forecasted to be bad and it's easier for them to just ask for a ticket refund rather than come out in inclement weather.


      Our Posters, Flyers, Ticketing Site and our Websites all clearly state our No-Refund Policy and have ALWAYS stated this for as long as we have been running these Events.
      Since I'm pretty sure you live in *******, you are familiar with what we call "SEASON".  Since Season started about Nov 1, we are already into it.  As such, no restaurants will come out to give away food tastings at this time because they are all busy until after Easter.

      Thus - We plan to run this event after Season is over in 2023 - and although we don't refund tickets we feel that it would be okay to honor pre-purchased tickets at that time for the people who did NOT purchase cancellation insurance for jut $1.97 - as is the case with your person who has complained.
      Please see my evidence below and also my attachments.


      #1.  All Ticket Sales were Final and CLEARLY MARKED prior to purchase on the Ticketing Site AND on our Website as NON-REFUNDABLE & NON-EXCHANGEABLE.
      2.  The Ticketing site clearly offered CANCELLATION INSURANCE for just a $1.97.   The person who is complaining to you did not purchase this $1.97 insurance.  
      3.  Out of 103 Ticket purchasers, 39 people purchased **************** for $1.97.  So, to say that it wasn't offered  - that's just not correct.  It WAS OFFERED to everyone.
      4.  Cancellation of this Food Tasting Event in ********, ******* was due to the massive destruction caused by Hurricane *** which hit ******** and all towns south of us in South-West *******. 
      5.  Electricity was non-existent for more than a week after the Hurricane and many of the Restaurants scheduled to provide the Food Tastings at our Event had little or no food refrigeration and suffered massive losses and significant supply chain issues with food and gas.
      6.  Prior to cancellation of the Event, every person who purchased a ticket received an email thru the ***************** stating the Event had to be cancelled. 
      7.  Let me say, In 29 years of Event Promotion, I have NEVER cancelled an Event.   This Hurricane truly was an act of God.
      8.  Non-refundable/Non-exchangeable Ticketing has ALWAYS been a part of our Events and ALWAYS reflected on our Websites and Advertising.
