I purchased an alliance delta rv from blue compass rv Sarasota 11/2024. At that time, the finance manager, **** ***** talked us into all the extended warranties for the rv. We did not want any warranties and said no multiple times. **** then offered us a lower interest rate if we agreed to the warranties. **** said we can cancel all of the warranties after 6 months and get a prorated refund on all of the warranties and still keep the lower interest rate. We were still reluctant and asked about fine print. **** said there was no fine print and all warranties were refundable and pulled up the cancellation paperwork to show us. We then purchased the warranties with the intention to cancel them and obtain a refund like we were coached by ****.We sold the ** 2/2025. At that time we contacted **** to cancel the warranties. Multiple times **** promised a status report and follow up with the refund processing but never did. Myself and my husband had to contact him multiple times for a status. We asked for a refund break down, which **** promised, but once again didnt do.We received our refund check last week and it was short a few thousand dollars. I contacted the dealership and asked why the paint warranty wasnt refunded. To which I was told its not refundable. I told **** that he reassured us that every warranty we purchased was refundable. He then said well not the paint. To that I asked **** why would we buy a non refundable warranty when we were planning to cancel them at 6 months just like you talked us into? **** responded- I dont have an answer for that.I called **** and his office manager ****** on Friday 3/21 to demand a refund due to their fraudulent and unfair business practices. **** then promised I will have a response for you in 24 hours. Once again, he did not follow up. I have called and emailed him multiple times and he is ignoring myself and my husband which further proves he fraudulently sold us this warranty under false terms.

I purchased a used ** from Blue Compass RV in July 2024, along with an extended $14,000 warranty from ** Complete, which was presented to me as full coverage for any major repairs. However, within days of bringing the ** home, significant mechanical issues appeared, including a Clean Fuel Filter warning, before I had even added any fuel myself. I later discovered that the ** had been sold to me without a fuel cap, causing severe rust and contamination in the fuel system, now requiring $29,500 in repairs. Despite providing receipts, inspection records, and communicating with ** Complete, my claims have been repeatedly denied. The dealership and warranty company have both deflected responsibility. When purchasing the warranty, the finance advisor assured me that it would cover essential repairs, especially given my medical and financial situation. Yet, ** Complete has systematically avoided honoring the warranty and addressing these pre-existing issues. While working briefly at Blue Compass RV, I encountered other customers who also faced denials on similar claims, suggesting a larger pattern of misleading practices. This has placed my family and me in significant financial and emotional distress. I am seeking that Blue Compass RV and ** Complete cover the costs of the repairs as originally promised.I respectfully request that the BBB help facilitate a resolution to ensure these companies honor their warranties and address these practices to prevent similar situations from affecting other customers.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/27/2024

    Good evening,

******, our regional manager has been in touch with the customer and is working on a resolution with them.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 12/04/2024

    Complaint: 22526066

    Dear ****** ******,

Thank you for providing an update on our complaint. Unfortunately, the response provided by Blue Compass RV is not only unsatisfactory but blatantly untrue. Despite their claim that ******, the regional manager, has been in contact with us and is "working on a resolution," the reality is that we have been ignored and dismissed at every turn.

We have made countless calls and sent numerous emails to the selling dealership and Blue Compass RV management, and we have been completely ignored. Recently, we learned from **** *****, the Director of Customer Relations for *********************** franchises, that the company explicitly instructed employees to stand down and ignore us. This deliberate decision to silence communication is appalling and speaks volumes about their business practices.

Furthermore, Mr. ***** revealed that he, too, was misled about the true nature of our case. He was told outright lies, including claims that we had driven the ** 600 miles and added bad fuel, resulting in the catastrophic damage to the unit. These statements are entirely fabricated. The mechanics who inspected the ** confirmed that the extensive rust damage in the fuel system could not have occurred in the short time we had it. The timeline proves this damage existed before purchase:

The Clean Fuel Filter warning appeared just three days after bringing the ** home, after driving it less than 15 miles.

The ** was sold to us with a full tank of fuel, and the first warning light came on before we ever added fuel ourselves.

The mechanics concluded that the rust damage, caused by saltwater contamination from the missing fuel cap, would have taken months to developfar longer than we had the ** at the time the issues began.

Despite Blue Compass RV initially agreeing to cover $3,500 for the first set of repairs after significant effort on our part, the repair costs quickly ballooned to $29,500 once the full extent of the damage was uncovered. Blue Compass RV and ** Complete have refused to cover any further costs under the warranty, which we were told would "cover everything." Their refusal to honor their obligations under the warranty and their continued attempts to shift blame onto us are completely unacceptable.

The claim that they are working on a resolution is nothing more than a hollow statement. ****** assured us over a month ago that they would cover the cost of towing the ** to Jesses Garage for a second opinion. However, we recently learned from Mr. ***** that they have since decided not to honor even that promise. This lack of accountability, combined with their deceptive practices, has left us feeling scammed and defrauded.

It has now been nearly six months since we purchased this **, and we have paid $1,600 per month for a vehicle that has been completely unusable from the start. We are disgusted by the treatment we have received and the blatant dishonesty displayed by Blue Compass RV.

We are not satisfied with the resolutionor lack thereofthat has been provided thus far. We demand that Blue Compass RV take immediate responsibility for their actions, cover the full cost of the necessary repairs, and honor the promises made under the warranty agreement. If they continue to neglect their obligations, we will have no choice but to pursue legal action and go public with this ordeal to prevent others from falling victim to their fraudulent practices.

    Sincerely,
    ***** ******

On 05/25/2024 we bought RV 2019 Dutchmen Astoria 2953RLF with VIN # ***************** at the aforementioned location. Although the unit was bought "as is", there are certain components that we paid a fee for to be evaluated by the seller in order to certify the bank that the unit is good. The fee included in our buying contract--making us financially responsible of the evaluation--is $695 which included tires. On the day of the delivery, the unit did not make it due to a tire having burst. On the day to our vacation trip, another tire blew up in the middle of the highway--thankfully no one got hurt, but it bent the right slide-out fender and left us with an unpleasant experience. We went back home as we lost trust on the tires that were left and did not want to make the six-hour trip. The old tires had the date 0418 which makes them over six years old. We had to spend $454.80 on new tires, plus $145 of the first tire that blew up while in delivery route after having paid for their supposedly inspection. The dealership agreed via phone conversation to reimburse the amount spent on the tires through *******************, but after several phone calls and emails, the promises to call back never materialize. We also inquired about the slide-out fender after the tire explosion, but no reply has been attempted by the dealer. The dealer already has the pictures and invoices which were sent to them via email on June 11th at 11:52 AM.

On the 28th of Aug of 2023 I entered the Blue Compass RV location at *********************************** in Sarasota and gave a deposit in the amount of $ **** dollars which was taken out of my debit Suncoast credit union card. After financing was not approved I was told my money would be credited. It never was credited to my account.

On August 29, 2023, we took a deposit in the amount of $1,000.00 as an initial deposit to hold the unit.  Our regular credit card system was down, so the deposit was run through another system which is no longer in use.  The person that ran it did not know; we no longer utilized that system.  On July 2nd we learned finance was not in favor for the customers.  We informed them their money would be refunded.  I tried to refund it that day and could not find within the system where we actually ran their card for approval.  I informed them I would have to research the deposit and would get back with them.  On July 10th I found that our ************ had the deposit information that allowed me to refund their money.  I was in touch with them throughout the entire process.  We are very sorry for the inconvenience to them.

My wife and I purchased a brand new ************* Redhawk We spent $10,000 plus to purchase warranties Tires and Wheel protection, EcoRVPro, and Service Contract for Recreation Vehicles. I have the documentations showing that RVOne violated my service contract regarding to brake failures. I have called RVOne about this. They did not guide me through on how to follow the service contracts. They just simply told me they don't do the brake repairs. This happened twice. They told me that I should notify the service contract ******************************* ****************************************************************. I sent them a certified mail with a return receipt. I have not heard a response from them at all. I have a return receipt signed as COVID-19, no legitimate name. Very childish employee. I have to call them to inquire why they didn't respond to me. They refused to reimburse me. I relayed this complaints to the RVOne to the guy who handled the service contracts with me when I bought the *** I also relayed the complaints to the manager. I also demanded a full refund from the service contract for the *** I made that request months ago. I was so dissatisfied with they way they handled this. They told me that I should call the number ***************************** I disagreed. It is RVOne's responsibility to refund my money $6973 for breaching the contract pertaining to brake failures. I used my RV twice on a long weekend trips. I put in **** miles. **** Because an automobile went through a stop sign and hit me in front of the supermarket store in 2019. I had multiple surgeries (fractured spine and dislocated lower spine, torn ligament on right knee, etc)In other word, my RV is still very brand new. Based on the repair documentations my RV does fall apart for parking in a safe environment. RVOne and ************************** breached my service contracts. I paid $6973 and more than $1000 for towing and repair costs.
