I called and asked about pricing for a stairlift. I no longer needed the item requested. The Harmar Mobility Company sent an email to my personal email and my work email to collect payment, even though I never signed anything or gave a credit card. By contacting my employer, in regards to my work email, my two supervisors email, and an info@ email they violated HIPPA, Fair Trade and BBB. They said the bill was delinquent but I never gave payment info and left a message saying I was no longer interested. They also said the stairlift was delivered and had proof of delivery and they would email me that info. However, when I spoke to the supervisor there was no delivery has it had not left the warehouse.

We purchased a Harmar lift for my electric wheelchair. The lift they sold us only had an arm that came down on the seat to hold this 300lb chair on the lift. The chair ended up falling on the lift when we were traveling. Mobility plus ordered it for us giving them the chair specs, When they called Harmar, they asked if we strapped it on. We told them they didn't send any straps, Next they said that lift didn't need straps, Then, they said they would send straps. We got the straps and there isn't any place on the lift to hook straps. We have called customer service several times and they will not return our calls, This is ********************* in Englewood, Ohio.

    Harmar Mobility LLC Response

This lift purchased his lift through Mobility Plus. He was instructed not to use a hold down arm with this lift as it is not designed for it and would not secure his mobility device correctly. Ultimately, the arm did not work and he had issues. This information has been communicated to him through the Harmar dealer and the customer should return to them as the original installer to correct any possible damage or issue.

Who was instructed not to use the arm to hold on the chair. We were instructed to use the arm to hold on the chair. There is nowhere on the lift they sold us to secure any straps. The chair fell off somewhere in our travels and we backtracked and could not find it. I believe they sold us the wrong lift for the specs on my chair. I am not satisfied with the responsee.
