I was told an amount that did not match the amount on the invoice. I was never told of an additional labor charge, service fee, and each line item was overstated over the amount I was verbally quoted. Additionally, I was not available to provide my debit card and took advantage of my young cousin not knowing the amount I was quoted verbally and overcharging me.

On 7/31/24 we had an appointment with another company who didnt show. We called GARAGE DOOR SERVICE 24 HRS who said they can fix it. They replaced a spring & 2 drums with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE & EXCELLENT QUALITY, MADE IN *** &NOT CHINA and installed them. We didnt have internet to verify the prices - we just bought this house. He showed me the "FL regulated website where he gets his parts. Today, 3 days later the door is stuck halfway , parts have falled off& they are not answering the 24 HR line, tried twice and listened to the music for 15 minutes then it just kept ringing. This has been disputed with my bank and our vehichles are stuck inside.

On may 23rd, 2024, I was referred to a company called the Crew Garage Door service for a minor adjustment to a garage door that was struggling.I called the number and there was no answer and then someone called back from a different number and sent a technician out. The technician represented that there was a trip charge of $29 and a labor charge of $275 and if there was a spring that needed to be replaced that it would be more. After some time, the technician had said the unit was broken and they took it out and disposed of it (Really?) even though there was still 4 years of warranty left on the original unit.He then left after replacing the unit with a smaller unit that couldn't open the garage door of a different manufacturer and style (chain) and with no garage door opener or wifi connectivity.. nor could it open our other garage door. Essentially they stole our garage door opener motor and guide rail that was under warranty left one that couldn't lift the garage door and later he filled out the form with ridiculous charges and charged us ******* for service that wasnt authorized and left the garage door in a worse state. The work service form was left blank and recommendations are blank because the intention is to cheat the consumer.Charging for any PARTS and EQUIPMENT above the ***** after the fact & not part of an original estimate. The unit the left was a $149 Lowes unit and they even trumped up additional charges of $75 for LUBE.The company that ran the charge is out of state and has a different phone number.I tried calling the number from the information that was left behind and there was no answer however, after multiple attempts I did get a call back from a different number. I answered and lodged my complaint about the inoperable unit and the extortionist charges. They said they would have the manager call right away and would personally take care of the situation. Nobody called back & after multiple attempts I was not able to reach anyone.

On March 22nd, 2024 I hired this company to take a look at the garage door of a rental property I own in *******. The tension cables had snapped and the garage door wasn't working. The tech explained that the spring was old and needed to be replaced and that's the reason the cables broke. He also said the drums, and the sensors were bad too and add to it the mount on the wall. After negotiating he replaced it all for $1,840 and guaranteed that I would not have any issues with the door for years to come. On June 17th, 2024 the tenant calls me to let me know the tension cables broke again and the door is off the tracks. I call them again and somehow they can't get a hold of the same technicians and they send a new one. The new one tells me the problem this time is the rollers (the only part the last tech did not replace). He tells me "I will check how many are working and which ones are not and let you know how many I need to replace, they usually run about $50 each, i'll call you right back." He then has the tenant call me to tell me the job is done and I need to pay. Without giving me an estimate on how much it cost, without explaining what he was doing, nothing. He says I need to pay $900, $550 for the parts and $350 for the labor and I must pay because the work is already done and he's already replaced everything. This is not how you do business. He did ************************************************************************* an estimate. Add to it the fact that the last guy didn't ever mention the rollers. Am I expected to pay additional labor costs for his oversight when this should have been taken care of the first time if they were really to blame for the door coming off the tracks? I negotiated with him and got him down to $650 but it stands that this company is not doing business how business should be done and is scamming people by sending techs who complete work without advising how much it will cost beforehand and not doing a thorough inspection either

I am writing to demand a full refund for the incomplete & incorrect job that was performed by GIMMY CORP on my garage door at ************************************************ - On 3/17, they arrived at my property and provided an assessment for a broken garage door spring. They charged $545 for replacement of TWO springs when you only replaced ONE. This was paid in full on 3/18 via zelle to ***************** This included a 5-year warranty for your work as indicated in the attached invoice - which was not honored - A little over a month later, the tenant was reporting that the door was not closing. You came out on 4/25 and incorrectly assessed that the problem was the drums which you replaced for another $475. THE SAME DAY, the tenant reported that the door was not closing again. The receipt attached indicates a LIFETIME warranty for labor and parts - which you are not honoring. You came out the same evening and tried to say that the wheels needed replacing. At this time, we decided to get a 2nd opinion. - We have had multiple garage door experts come out to verify that: (One report attached)1) only one spring was replaced when you charged us for two 2) the new one that was installed is OVERSIZED for our door causing the door to not fully close. The drums replacement was not needed as recommended by you on your 2nd visit to fix the problem YOU created when the wrong sized spring was installed.- We have reached out to you multiple times to resolve this issue. Your company has been negligent, unresponsive & unprofessional and left the problem unresolved. We have had to hire another company to install the correct spring after your error. - We are requesting a FULL refund of $1,020 immediately by zelle to ************. There is an overwhelming amount of evidence showing your negligence, lack of expertise and unwillingness to work with us to fix a garage door that you were paid to fix.

Garage spring broke, so I could not open my garage. I looked up Allied Doors phone number and called and got no answer, so I hung up. Moment later the phone rang asking if we need garage door repair. I asked how much it would cost to repair the door (replace tension spring) and when can they do the repair, since it is Saturday 1/27/2024. I was quoted the cost at $89.00 to $189.00, and someone can come out next day around noon. Since the cost was reasonable, I made the appointment. I did not realize that this was not Allied Doors. The repairman came with an unmarked truck and changed the springs in about 45 minutes and gave me the bill to sign. Upon signing I was shocked and objected to the outrageous cost of $1,303. The repairman then abruptly left with the garage door in open position. Shortly, I received the invoice via text message. I tried closing the door with the opener and the door would not close. Upon inspection, I discovered that the springs that he installed were undersized for the size and weight of the door. This is why the garage door opener would not operate. I had to disconnect the opener to avoid damage and as soon as I did, the door slammed to the bottom. (very dangerous). I called the company and stated the fact that my door was not functional, and I was overcharged comparing to what I was quoted. The repairman was to come back and remedy the issue. Placed several more calls over the next couple of days, and no one came to repair the door. After waiting several days and not being able to use the garage, I had it repaired on 2/3/24, by removing the undersized springs that were installed by Garage Door Service and installing correct springs to make the door operational. Total cost to install the new correct springs was $223.05. I want a full refund for the inferior and overcharged service call that did not repair my door. They can come and pick up their springs.

My father is 80 years old and has dementia. The invoice is very misleading. They used decimals instead of commas and the dollar symbol is behind the numbers instead in the front. Once he realized he was charged so much he called me. I then got quotes for the same repair and they all came in below $1,000. This is criminal and I have hired an attorney. They preyed on the elder and they need to be reported.
