I wanted some flashlight bulbs, and I found the ones I needed and took them to the register. The price rang up more than 2x what the shelf price said. I told the cashier the price was wrong and her response was that sometimes they change the prices in the computer but not on the shelf. I asked her to sell it to me for the shelf price but she explained that sometimes the stickers are wrong. I'm not sure how that absolves them but apparently it is a canned excuse there judging from some of the other yelp reviews. ****, a store employee decided to get involved and I took him back to the bulbs and showed him where I got it, and where it said 'screw base' on the shelf price sticker, the only s**** base bulb they had. He said I have to go by the *** as sometimes things get moved, and then he found the *** on a nearby shelf peg and showed me the price was twice what the 'wrong' *** peg had. The new *** had two other bulbs there, not s**** type, and he moved those saying they were in the wrong place. So he insisted that I pay the double price for the bulbs. He said there were none of the s**** type available (although he had them in his hand).****, the owner or manager then became involved, we went to the bulbs and I showed her where I got the bulbs and the price, she told me the stickers were wrong and stuff gets moved around. There were 4 staff at the entrance and one other customer in the store. It was the start of the sales tax holiday that includes flashlights, so you would think they'd be checking that area to make sure the displays were full and in the proper place. **** got huffy and told me to leave the store. I took a picture of the prices and then left. If I ran this store the staff wouldn't be chatting at the front they would be tidying up the displays, and making sure things were where they belonged. No staff would be armed with excuses; rather than customer service. "Things get moved, " "Sometimes the price stickers are wrong.

I'm very sorry this all happened.  I really am.  I tried to explain to the customer that our inventory uses part numbers and upc codes to keep items organized.  The descriptions aren't enough.  The tag that the bulbs he wanted were a hook with description of, "BULB FLASHLITE SCRW3D C2".  The bulbs in his hand had the description of, "FLASHLIGHT BULB 2AA 2PK".  One works off of 3D batteries and the other works off of 2AA batteries.  These items are not interchangeable and will not work in different flashlights.  They are two completely different products.   Unfortunately with a retail store customers will put product back on the wrong hook after inspecting a product.  And it seems more problematic in the smaller more intricate items that are very similar but different.  I tried telling the customer this but his response was, "it's not my fault you can't control your inventory".  He proceeded to get more and more condescending and rude.  That's when I stop all communication with a customer.  I will work all day long with someone who can have a conversation and not belittle me.  Again I am very sorry this all happened and I wish him well.
