      On the website it has: Dine-in or Carry-Out Evening SPECIALS 4 PM to Close MONDAY-- Spaghetti or Ziti with Meat Sauce, Tossed Salad & Garlic Bread only $6.95 (add meatballs or sausage for $3.) TUESDAY-- 15% OFF Entire Bill! WEDNESDAY-- $2 OFF any Large Pizza. THURSDAY-- Buy 1 meal at regular price and get 2nd meal 1/2 OFF with purchase of 2 drinks. FRIDAY-- $8 Pitchers of BEER! $1.95 glasses of Wine SATURDAY--Draft BEER only $1.95 & $2 OFF any Large Pizza! I had called on Monday August 29, 2022, to order a carry out. I had ordered the Monday special. However, the male employee told me that the "Monday special" can be ONLY dine in. I informed him that the website states this of carry out too. He asked the manager and he said, no as well. I feel that they should have honored the website special pricing since it is advertised of them. They denied for me to have it to go/carry out. Yes, it is about a $2-$4 differe3nce from regular menu price, but the principal of advertising an item for a special price be it dine in or carry out, they should honor the price listed and make the change on the website.

      Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/09/20) */ During COVID when businesses could not offer dine in; as an attempt to do all I could to stay afloat during that unprecedented time, I made a variety of changes related to different prices and service options. One of these temporary changes included allowing the lunch and evening Specials that had previously (for decades) been 'dine in only' to allow them to be for carry out as well, since I was forced to close dining room. Once restaurant owners were allowed to offer dining room service again, I re-opened the dining room as well, however there was still a significant decrease of business to most all restaurants including mine due to continued stay at home for many persons, along with public fear of going out, and other negative impacts due to both the long COVID and recovery period for restaurant businesses, especially small owner businesses such as this business is. Therefore, I continued different strategies to assist the business in surviving such a difficult period and ensuring my employees were able to keep working as well. After such a long COVID and recovery period, we unfortunately did not remember to change the carry out option back to dine in only on the website. The owner who is typically at the restaurant 50+ hours was not at the restaurant the evening this customer had called, if the owner had been there; or if the customer had contacted him the next day, he would have made sure to provide service recovery over this misunderstanding of $2.00 difference between the regular price of $8.95 and the evening special of $6.95. I apologize for this misunderstanding and the website is now corrected to read dine in only. Consumer Response /* (2000, 10, 2022/09/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I accept the reply, BUT you should have honored the special for a pickup since the change had not occurred, which you could have saved a customer perception of your word in print is not good will, as well as telling others of the non-honoring of the price.
