Hi, On Dec. 28, 2022, I took my vehicle in to have an oil leak repaired. I was charged $715.63 (Gasket ******************* and Filter and exhaust gasket as well as labor). I was assured the problem was fixed. I noticed a few days later that I was still having an oil leak and contacted **** (the owner of the business), who instructed me to bring the car back in. I took my car back to him twice in January and a couple of more times in February because each time I was informed that it was worked on again, something else was done, it was residual oil that needed to be cleaned off etc. and that it was fixed (again). Needless to say, that my car was still leaking after all of those fixes. After being inconvenienced from having to drop my car off and leaving it overnight and all day sometimes, I reluctantly gave up hope of it being fixed. I again addressed this issue in June by taking it to another mechanic and I was informed that my dipstick was broken off and that it was siliconed to the oil pan. I contacted **** and told him what I was told by the other mechanic. He again instructed me to bring it in, which I did on July 6th. He assured me that he would order me another dipstick and an oil pan and fix the issue. I picked my car up the next day, July 7th and was assured again that it was fixed. A couple of days later, the oil was leaking again. A week later I had surgery and did not drive my car, as I was home recovering. I don't feel that he is able to or wants to resolve this issue even after I paid to have it fixed. I contacted **** yesterday morning to see what can be done and to inform him that I would have to file a complaint if not resolved. I left a message with his worker, as I was informed that he was busy in the shop. I did not hear back from him, so I decided to file this complaint at this time.I'm not sure if I trust that he will finally fix my issue or if he should just return my money or at least part of it since it was not fixed. Thx

I am rejecting this response because:

Chip the office manager at Consumer Car care called me on Aug. 7th and asked that I bring my car that week to be fixed.  I informed him that I worked and could only bring my car in on Saturdays (as I've done in the past).  He then told me that they no longer work on Saturdays and that he would call me the next day to schedule a Saturday when they would come in to work on my car.  I did not hear back from anyone until midday Aug. 21st, while I was at work.  A voicemail was left by ****, the owner, saying that he was reaching out to schedule a day for me to come in.  I returned the call that evening and received the voicemail, I left a message asking them to call me back and leave a message if I am unable to answer with a Saturday that they would be able to fix my car.  I have not heard back.

The response from the company is not true, as no date has been scheduled nor is my car fixed.  I've already paid a hefty amount and my car was not repaired so naturally I should not have to be charged for anything further.

I am asking that if they are unable to repair my car or are prolonging scheduling a date to finally fix the issue, return my money so that I can find a capable mechanic to fix my car once and for all.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************
