Our PM allowed his crew to dig a hole and place rebar while a hurricane approached. We raised concerns prior to the storm, he informed us that he doesn’t watch the weather. No concrete was poured ahead of the storm which would’ve protected our investment. We watched as walls caved in and hole filled with rain and mud leaving the rebar with space behind it. This decision set the project back over a week and workmanship was sloppy at best while playing catch up. Additionally, an employee’s children showed up unsupervised to work. When asking our PM- not onsite why children were in our backyard, we were told he had multiple projects and to stop bothering him. “He was the professional and it would get done”.  Shortly after the paver deck was complete, final cleaning crew arrived and a pile of lumber was left in the way of the fence to be replaced. My wife in speaking with a worker, he argued that they would not be removing this debris from our property. I decided to review our security camera footage to see the exchange and heard the gentleman call my wife a B**** as he walked away. Yet another concern dismissed by leadership. There was no effort to smooth the concrete surface prior to applying the pebble tech surface causing the final product result in lumps and waves on the surface. There is an actual foot print on the sun shelf that was never corrected. AGAIN, we raised concerns regarding the quality and were actually told that the uneven surface was INDUSTRY STANDARD, which came directly from QC. Near the end of the project we found that most of their workers were using our fence as a urinal behind our shed. Photos show the fence stained yellow even after many hard rains.  The smell was atrocious.  The truly sad part is that we were never offered an apology nor did anyone take ownership for any of their mistakes. I’ll leave you with this quote directly from our PM, “we dug a hole in your backyard and filled it with water, what more do you want…”

Our records show that our team closely monitored weather forecasts leading up to the storm. The decision to proceed with the project was based on careful consideration of safety measures, and we took precautions to secure the site. Thankfully, the hurricane did not hit ************** and did not affect this project. Unfortunately, being in *******, heavy rain is a normal part of the construction process which might be what you are referring to. However, we were able to get back on track and the project was not delayed because of it.
