On 2/3/23, I paid Charles G. A*******, owner and operator of Abbey Flooring, $3,000 as a deposit on a flooring job that cost a total of $6,158.50. Over the next two months he failed to respond to numerous calls and texts I sent him about when he would do my flooring job. He made several false claims and stated that a five week delay was caused by my flooring being mis-delivered to another flooring company in Ocala, FL, Abbey Flooring & More. On 4/11/23, I called Abbey Flooring & More and asked if my flooring was ever delivered to them by accident and they told me that never happened. Shortly after this call Mr. A******* called me on 4/11/23, and stated that he was called by Abbey Flooring & More and told that I had called them asking about my flooring. He was irate, loud, abusive and out of control that I had called his competitor. He then said "F--- You" to me twice and I was shocked and asked him "what did you say?" He then repeated "F--- You" to me and then I asked him if that was the way a businessman talked to his customer and he then repeated again "F--- You" to me and hung up the phone. I later told him he had breached the contract by his repeated lies and his threatening, abusive, dangerous, unstable and vulgar attack on me. I told him I wanted my $3,000 deposit returned or delivery my 775 sq ft of luxury vinyl flooring that I had paid for. On 4/12/23, I submitted a complaint with the Seniors vs Crime and they had had no success in resolving this problem. On 4/14/23, A******* texted me a fraudulent self made invoice claiming I owed him an additional $1,575.20 if I wanted my flooring. Please note that I can buy this flooring at retail for $2,289.21 and as a commercial flooring company he could buy it for far less and likely at about $1,500. He repeatedly refuses to refund my $3,000 or deliver my flooring which is a felony violation of FL statute 812.014 for grand theft. I request that he refund my money or deliver my flooring. Thank you!
