I contacted this company back in October of 2022 for an estimate for my windows, they then offered to do my roof, and to raise my ceiling. They started the work in the roof in December 16. It took this company so long to even get started. They came and put a supposedly a new roof, they did not do the work right. There were holes and there are nails sticking out from under the ceiling roof. They also installed windows that are not put in right, water cames in from the top. They installed 4 back windows first, they wood covered the 2 front windows. This was in May 20, they didn't seal these windows. I called the company to say the windows were not done right and the water comes through the top of them. And then I called the company again and said this to them. The guy comes takes pictures and video, and said he would be sending someone to fix it, it has been since the last month of May. They said they did not give me an estimate for raising the ceiling I remember telling the company all that I wanted that done, I guess they thought I had forgotten. I know I told them. I also called the city to see if the roof passed inspection in February and they said it did not pass. My English is not very good, so the guy was telling me the price, then I said to him the price is too high, he argued raising his voice at me, then he said ok I will give you the price. They still have not come to fix it and are charging me more that what the contract was for. Instead of sending someone to come fix the problems the lady only threatens me they are going to put a lein on my house. They are taking advantage that my English is not good.Initial Complaint

This homeowner signed a contract with us on 12/5/22 after Hurricane Ian. The Building Dept was in the process of changing the codes for carport replacements due to the hurricane and these codes were not finalized until sometime in January 2023. The homeowners contract, which he initialed called for an 8-12 week installation after approval and confirmation of order plus the homeowner initialed on his contract that all agreements are contingent upon weather, material delays, accidents or any other delays beyond our control. Even without the delays that we have faced we are still within the time frame of the contract. We have tried our best to keep the homeowner updated with honest information regarding his project as we have it. Our office is closed on Fridays so that we can have meetings with engineers pertaining to drawings that are needed for permitting, sales representatives, marketing, etc that are needed to run our business. Our employees in the field work (4) 10 hour days which usually consist of Monday-Thursday. We are not a scam by any means, we are a certified General Contractor with the State of Florida which is not an easy license to obtain. We use a professional permitting expediting company to help with the permit and zoning issues that can arise in the different counties that we work in due to the fact that Sarasota county is not the only county that we are doing work in. The storm damage areas have been a very trying, frustrating time for all parties involved. We have permits that we have been waiting over 3 weeks for approval from just the planning review department. Our timeframe now with new contracts is out 6 months and we are one of very few licensed companies that are even accepting or taking new leads in the area and most roofing companies are out at least 16 weeks.Customer response
