            We hired Ally P. of Ally's Upholstery and Sewing Shop to re-upholster two custom four year old power reclining chairs on October 11, 2023. She came to our home with fabric samples and pictures of her work and went to great lengths to explain how quick and efficient she was. We agreed on a total price of $2,625.00 for both chairs which she would pick up and deliver back. She required a deposit of $1,825.00 in order to purchase the fabric and new cushioning foam for the seat of both chairs. We called her a number of times after two months had passed as we heard no more from her after she took the chairs. Each time she either did not return our calls or gave us some reason why they were not done yet. She claimed the chairs were in terrible shape and she had to replace all the parts. These were perfectly good chairs in good working order. The original fabric we had chosen had failed and was pilling. We wanted only to improve the appearance of the chairs. My last conversation with her on 03/05/24, she agreed to refund our deposit within five days and in turn I agreed that she would keep the fabric and the chairs. We have not received the refund. I discovered since that she has done this in the past and other people have been defrauded out of their money both here and in Covington, GA. She is a very smooth talker who now has our money and our chairs (who knows what condition they are in now) and I was a very foolish 80 year old who trusted her.

            I will let you decide but be forewarned. I am considering legal action.I purchased a very expensive sectional in 2012 from *********** so it needed to be tightened and re-dyed after 11 years. I requested her services and she explained that it would be $1225 and I needed to place a $600 deposit. She seemed experienced from my conversation with her so I was okay to send her the money so that she could purchase the dye.. 2 weeks went by and I called her for a status update. She mentioned that the dye products had just arrived late and she would be picking up my sectional. Another week went by and after several phone texts, she and her husband came over with a Uhaul to pick up my sectional. She stated that she would have it completed in 2 weeks. ***** month went by. **** showed me a piece of vinyl and I declined to have that as a replacement as this was fine leather furniture. She said that she understood and told me that in a few days, her workers would install the 12" inch pieces and be finished that week. **** month went by and before Thanksgiving, I explained that I needed my sectional as I had family coming to stay with me. Another 10 days went by and she said I didn't answer her text to accept my sectional. I then texted her and said I will be home for the delivery. When the sectional was delivered. It was Vinyl! Not Leather! It was a complete different design that did not match my pillows and ottoman that went with it. So now I have mismatched...low quality, and she ruined the wooden base...the seams are terrible. The material is overlapping an very unprofessional. My *********** sectional looked better before I sent it to her. Now it looks like a garbage piece. E
