Air Around the Clock, didn't honor their sale contract. I have a sale contract to install a new Rheem Split System in my home.On the sales invoice it stated an new filter back return grill and a new ultraviolet light to be stalled. Work was done on May 18,2024 incomplete. I called two times in May to resolve this issue. No call back. But my bill was paid in full. Don't use Air around the clock, they want to sale you service contract but don't want to honor a sale contract.Around the Clock A/C Service, LLC Response

I called Around the Clock and they came to my condo. After quoting me the cost for a new A/C unit, I called and cancelled the order the next day. I never received a bill or statement and I checked my credit card statement and they charged me $7,850 for a new unit, then credited $7, 065, leaving me with a $785 bill. They never contacted me or sent me a bill but told me it was for cancellation fees and permit fees for a unit I never purchased. I can see charging a service call fee, but $785 is a total scam. DO NOT CALL OR USE THEM. I am disputing the charge with my bank today!Review from Ramona D

After we recieved a flyer for an A/C check for $ 19 we called them to do the $19 A/C check. A very ***************** come to the appointment(2 A/C were properly working at this time) The guy mentioned that we needed freon to the system as we agreed he went up to the second floor ,come back and mentioned the charge would be $495 for 2 minutes and we don't believe that he even filled up freon because he just went upstairs not outside to the system. we issued the check ... after one day the system stopped working so we have to hire another company. two good guys come found the problem repaired it and the A/C system works since than fine ,we paid $270. During this process we tried to reach out the around the clock company wrote them an e mail that we believe that is all fraud and hold them responsible no answer at all so we canceled the check. After about 4 weeks we recieved a "lien letter "per e mail forcing and pressing us to pay the full amount again without any comments . Today we tried to reach the manager again he was not available no comments. *After the mechanic left someone from the company called us more than agressive we need a new A/C system offered us for$ ****** . The new Company which helped us very well made us an offer for a new system which we don't need about $ 6500. so cheating Companies should be taking of the marked forever. we still want our full money back. Thanks and who is reading this be very carefulAround the Clock A/C Service, LLC Response

Unfortunately, we had to issue a lien because you put a stop payment without notifying us of any problems. Then we made several attempts to call you which we received no response. We do have pictures of the freon being added before and after pressures and him working on the outside unit. If the system stopped working a day later you could of called us back or told us when we were at your other property three days later. if you have any issues in the future please let us know.Around the Clock A/C Service, LLC Response

Im absolutely shocked by the reviews posted here. So I felt it necessary to review here because I have on numerous occasions reviewed for this business on ****** and I thought it important the BBB was made aware as well. I have called AATC on many different occasions to come out for emergency kitchen faucet/ sink repair( water leaking into my cabinets and ruining them). The handle and insides on the toilet in our main bathroom broke and wouldnt flush. We couldnt get water to go down the second bathroom sink. And finally our entire AC unit stopped blowing cold air in August. IN AUGUST! I find their prices reasonable for the service they provide. The staff from the phone calls to the technicians have been nothing but professional and experienced. I wouldnt think to call any other company for my air conditioning and plumbing needs.Around the Clock A/C Service, LLC Response

Sold us a lemon RHEEM and did a poor job with installation. We have had this air conditioner quit on us 5 times in 4 years. It is only 5 years old. Repairs were expensive. Staff did not seem to value us as the repeat customers we were.Around the Clock A/C Service, LLC Response

I am sorry this is happening to you. But our records indicate we have not been to the property in almost two years. The only repair we have is a motor replacement in 2021 and the two serice calls after that were clogged drain lines. Which is a very common occurance and is no fault of the ac.Review from Kristi G

My husband and I have used Air Around the clock for 13 years. Weve purchased two systems from them and have always had a maintenance contract with Air Around the Clock. The compressor on our two year old system just failed. However, the factory warranty covered it. But Air Around the Clock just charged us $1,495.00 for the labor to install the new air compressor. The two men were only here for 90 minutes. Thats almost $1,000. 00 an hour for labor! This is absolutely disgusting.Around the Clock A/C Service, LLC Response

Unfortunately the cost of the repair is not just the technicians time at your home. The manufacture only covers the compressor. There are also, freon, dryers, acid away, travel time to pick up your new compressor and return the old one, and an exchange fee that is charged to return the part to the manufacture. We advised you the day before of the cost and lowered the price $150.00 yesterday.Review from Janet T

Extremely incompetent. Asked to speak to the owner and the receptionist said "he does not answer calls". Gave them my credit card for payment and they missed a number. One receptionist does not speak to another receptionist to verify information.Around the Clock A/C Service, LLC Response

Ive been a loyal customer since the 90s. No more. Called them out to replace a thermostat. The new one was not flush against wall, crooked, wobbled when touched. *** said he couldnt do anything about it. Said he checked the entire system as well and no issues with AC. Few weeks later I called to get something done about crooked thermostat. *** came out and fixed it. Said I had cracked compressor, bad coils, need Freon. He did the compressor and Freon. Even tho just a few weeks ago a tech said no problems. A few days later ***** came with new coils. Took hours. He then showed me bottom of coils and said it was dryer lint. I said no way. Dryer 10 feet away and vents thru outside wall plus it was too dark and thick and chunky for dryer lint. I asked him about mess in air return - which looked like what was on coils. He said not a problem. Dryer guy came - said definitely not the cause of coil lint - opened air return in disbelief. Took hours to clear out buckets of same lint as on coils. It was insulation - maybe from attic insulation job done a year ago. Dunno. My irritation is - why didnt ***** point this air return issue out!! Hed only been gone 5 hours and filter was already covered with this insulation. If dryer guy hadnt noticed it, in a few months Im sure coils would be coated again soon. I called the company. Thought more effective than writing a review. The girl made excuses for everything- Said shed have a supervisor call me that day or next. Five days later no call. Searching for a new AC company ASAPReview from Gail H

*** serviced my a/c units in May, but I had to call them out again in July because the upstairs unit was not cooling at all. The tech got it working again by blowing out the line and all was well until 8/18 when the upstairs unit began leaking into the filter well and through my ceiling! Two techs came out on 8/22 and again blew out the line and also cleaned a very dirty drain pan inside the handler. They checked out the downstairs handler and the two outside units. They also cautioned me about running the upstairs unit and the downstairs unit on two different temperatures and said that my downstairs thermostat needed to be replaced. They had one with them which they installed. I was assured that my a/c problems were now repaired. My house was cool, both thermostats were set to 75 and then... two hours later, the upstairs unit began leaking into the filter well and in another hour, water was dripping from my ceiling again. This unit is only 5 years old and there have been numerous notations on service calls that the drain line needs a thorough clean out. The techs are always punctual and polite but I get the impression they are on a tight timeline and may not be as thorough as is needed. And to add insult to injury, I was charged $350 for the thermostat they replaced, which truthfully, I'm not convinced that I needed. The same product is sold on several reputable online sites for $40-$60. Please advise how *** can correct not only my a/c problem but also the gross overpayment of the thermostat.I posted the above complaint twice on the *** FB site and not only was there no response, but the posts were taken down. I then went on their website and wrote about this problem - twice! And as of this date (9/11) I have not received a response either in writing or by phone. We have been customers since 2008, have purchased at least two a/c systems from them and have been intermittent maintenance contract holders. A business their size should have more integrity.Review from David B

The service technician was not very professional and smelled like weed and charged me $ ****** for a capacitor I didnt mind paying the after hours charge but a capacitor costs less than $20.00 I believe that is price gouging and I wont be using them anymore
