This store damaged my vehicle with a negligent oil change. Be careful!I bought my car in December 2022 and in April 2023 it was time for my first oil change. I brought it to Valvoline in Sunrise because it was close to my work and I figured Valvoline is a large oil change franchise. Within the 5k miles of my oil change, my car stopped and wouldn't turn on all of a sudden. I brought it to the nearest ****** Dealership where I was located and the technician investigated the problem and took photos and said the oil was leaking everywhere and it went into the undercarriage. He saw the filter had a small puncture and that was where the oil was leaking out from slowly over time- most likely because of an improper way of tightening using a tool such as a wrench. I called up the store manager called "******" and he investigated the problem, but instead, took defense and said, I or someone else changing the oil "tampered with the vehicle" even though nobody has operated or even seen the vehicle since I bought it from the dealer. ****** also spoke with the ****** Technician who found the problem originally and sent the photos (same ones I have uploaded) mentioning to him that this was due to incorrect tightening of the oil filter from the previous oil change. ****** continued to call the dealer technician up many times to a point where he had to block the number. Valvoline made me feel useless by saying there was nobody at all I could even speak to about the matter and that ****** and his area manager have the final say. Even when I asked to speak to the area manager they didnt let me- very unprofessional and a sign of not owning up or wanting to take accountability. I had to pay a huge bill to fix the issues the oil change did and all I wanted was a credit for my oil change and the punctured filter.
