Cynergy Restorations located in *********,** is an absolute mockery of a definition of a restoration building and the motto that their company stands for. They have been working on my house since April 2024 and it is now September 2024 and there has been little progress done to fix the issues of my home. Since April there have been over 4 floor specialists that have came to my home and estimated the cost of repairs and yet their boss - ******************** have not got the issue resolved in my home. For the flooring , they did an incompetent job with the demolition and flooring repair portion . They hired 2 different independent contractors to remove the glue off of the floor and both contactor companies did a horrendous job . The process of the removal of the flooring was supposed to be in the following order: removal of glue with a solvent remover, sanding of the flooring , priming the floor and lastly , apply a skincoat to the flooring. They did the complete opposite , instead , the removed the glue with a solvent remover and immediately applied the skincoat . In result of this , the flooring underneath the skincoat that the contractors applied was still wet underneath . In addition , they sent another independent contractor to and after the contractor told his estimate for the removal of the batched job that previous contractors did they informed him that they did not want him to do the job . Also , we initially ordered engineered hardwood flooring and in return , one of the employers of Cinergy , ***** and ******* ordered laminated flooring . They are an incompetent business and instead of trying to complete the job in a timely manner they are "cutting corners" and trying to save money by hiring and doing incompetent things . I am highly disappointed in the entire Cinergy company and I am looking into pursuing legally in order to get this issue resolved and get my house back whole again .

Home flooded June 2023 needed a contractor to do rebuilding. Cinergy was to do the Job ******* said it will only take them 4 months *** to do that was the 1st lie from this company. To many problems to write and get into but main thing is they had neglected to get the trash can they needed and had workers dump trash toilets and use my back yard as basically a construction site and dump for the remodeling of my house. When I told them about it they said they are not going to pay it not there fault and that I can go to ********** and buy the grass put it in my car and fix it myself. Then my insurance company paid them directly and they are asking for payment from me and I was like where is my check for my artifical truff that an estimate was sent in to be fix and they refused to pay.

Initial inspection with photos taken was done on January 17th, 2024. Cinergy personnel discussed with the client the remediation and rebuild that were to be performed. Photos included of the residence prior to the rebuild, and in these photos, the state of the back yard was present and apparent. Our photos indicated that outside debris from the trees such as pine needles and leaves had covered the back yard, and there was no indication there was astro turf in the backyard.

On February 9th, 2024, Cinergy arrived on site, and as requested by the client, removed all rebuild debris that was in the backyard. Personnel raked the back yard and swept the porch. Personnel also swept and mopped the floor from carrying debris through the house. Photos of this work done were uploaded into our internal CRM program.

On March 13th,2024, the client asked about the turf in the backyard. Cinergy personnel showed the client pictures with dates and timestamps of the backyard before rebuild work had started on the property, and images of the yard in current condition. The yard was in better condition prior to the rebuild. We also have photos that show after the cleanup indicate the astro turf was not one piece but cut up into multiple pieces and laid in a way that looks like one piece.

On March 27th,2024, after more rebuild work was done, Cinergy personnel removed the debris from the backyard. The backyard was also cleaned, swept, and raked. Photos with timestamps were uploaded into the internal CRM program. These photos show the backyard in good condition.

On 4/5/2024,Cinergy personnel completed the final walkthrough, and the client signed a Certificate of Satisfaction. This document signed by the client is an indicator that all work was done, and the property was left in satisfactory condition per the client. This document is uploaded into our internal CRM program and can be provided upon request.

The clients insurance carrier has issued two checks for the work done on the rebuild, which were sent to the client and has Cinergy as an additional payee and must be endorsed by Cinergy for deposit. These two checks have been cashed by the client without the endorsement from Cinergy. Cinergy will look further into this matter with the claims adjuster, the bank, and the clients insurance company.  Based on the facts recorded and presented in this response, Cinergy Does Not accept any responsibility as to the condition to the yard.

They should of never been using my back yard as a construction site and messed up my artifical grass then act like they never was in my back yard and that it was better when they life like they replaced or fixed the grass when they didn't. Then when I  told my insurance company and provided the estimate  to have my grass fixed from the company that is when they did what to take responsible for thier actions and since then has put a lien on my home and reportedme to the police. As far as the checks when I asked about the supplements claims that the are false claims they are making to my insurance company they can't give me a response. I asked them why is my hood over my stove is being replaced  anyways when I had one already? Why are u summiting for a supplements claim when it was never touched by water that is illegal. Thats a false claim. The company never responded. So Cinergy never tried to work with me they could of made a an attempt to right there wrong but didn't. Instead they made false claims to my insurance company called the police when they are in the wrong.

Cinergy has uploaded photos of the condition of the back yard prior to any work being done. The photos prove the yard was in not in a well-maintained condition prior to our first day.  We do not accept any responsibility for its current condition.  It actually looks better than when we arrived.

It is true that we have contacted the authority's due to criminal behavior concerning the homeowner.

This case should be closed and no other defamatory comments against our Company stating untruths and accusation should allowed to be posted on the BBB platform.

My insurance company American Integrity arranged for Cinergy Restoration to put a tarp on my hurricane damaged roof which cost me $3,752.80. On Oct 8th, they arrived and proceeded to put a few tarps on my roof. They claimed they did not need to do the whole roof as there was not damage on all of it. I questioned the poor quality of tarp they were using and they stated that due to the hurricane they were unable to get heavy duty tarps but seemed to still charge for heavy duty tarps. After they said they had completed the job, I signed off on the work and expected they had done a good job on the roof. Especially for that cost as the value of the tarps were less than $500.00. It's difficult for a 64 year old man to get up on the roof to confirm their work. On November 21st, a storm system arrived and the winds were directly from the west. I noticed that my tarp was ripped away from the roof and flapping in the wind and shredding. I called Cinergy Restoration to come out and fix it, but they refused, unless my insurance company approved another tarping. I ended up going up on the roof to prevent further water damage and found they had neglected to staple down the entire west side of the house. In the rain, I was forced to nail down NEW tarps. While I was up there, I found they also did not cover all the exposed parts of the roof that was damaged. Since they would not assist, I used my own tarps and went back up on the roof in the rain to secure my home with my tarps to prevent any further water or wind damage. Due to their shoddy installation and product, I am asking for a refund of the cost to have them cover my roof. See pics as proof. On Jan 13th I sent an email to them regarding this issue and have not heard back. I feel this company took advantage of the situation, furnishing tarps that were not meant for this job and then not even securing the tarps to the roof as needed. The price they charged was outrageous and they would not stand behind their contract that clearly stated that if there was any problem we should contact them and they would stand behind their work. I look forward to a quick resolution to this matter. Thank You.

We received this assignment due to Hurricane Ian.  Our emergency response teams responded on 10/06/22 and found that the home was in need of a temporary tarp.  The insured signed our work authorization at that time.  As you can see from the photos we installed the temporary tarp to industry standards.  (see attached report) Certificate of Satisfaction was signed

The insured contacted us as well as their adjuster on  11/21/22 to inform  us that the tarp had came loose in high winds.  We told the insured he would need to contact his insurance company for approval before could re-tarp per protocol. We had several calls from other insured's during this time with the same issues.  All were told to contact their carriers and have them send us an assignment.  That is how insurance companies work.

There had been several documented wind storms in the area that affected several temporary tarps on several homes. Unfortunately due to the nature of a temporary tarp and being exposed to several documented high wind events after hurricane Ian.  Cinergy cannot be held responsible for a tarp that comes loose or is destroyed by winds more than 6 weeks after it was installed.

I am rejecting this response because:

Your own pictures show that the west side of my roof was not nailed down. I attached that picture to this response (Tarp Placement 15). All the tarps were in fine shape until a strong wind out of the west with rain started tearing apart the one tarp not attached on the west side (see my previous attachments). Clearly an installation issue caused this.

I did call your company and was told you needed to be contacted by the insurance company for a new tarp request. I contacted the insurance company via emails and left a phone msg and still nothing. If you review the contract I signed with you (see attached), it states "Services performed by Cinergy Builders Inc. have been completed to my satisfaction. I understand and acknowledge that this
certificate applies only to these particular services performed by this particular contractor and not to additional work or services. In
the event a problem or complaint should develop in the future as a result of the work referenced above, I will notify the above
mentioned contractor immediately in order that the contractor may inspect and correct the problem or complaint as necessary and
appropriate."   I DID notify you immediately per the contract, but unfortunately you did not fulfill your part of the contract.

Lacking any action on your part, I had to climb a ladder to the roof in a wind/rain storm to nail used shingles down to hold it. And to prevent further water damage due to the faulty tarp installation, I bought my own tarps and nails and went up on the roof again to install them.

Here is evidence that I contacted my insurance company.

*******, unfortunately the tarp on the roof is ripped and flapping in the wind.! I climbed up on the roof and discovered the tarp was not secured properly. (see attached pics).

      -  one side of the tarp was not nailed down which allowed the wind under it and lifted the tarp.
      -  they did not use the grommets in the tarp to prevent tearing the tarp.
      - one side of the tarp shows wear and tear that was not a result of my roof. This tells me it was a tarp that was reused from somewhere else.
      - there are now a lot of holes in the tarps and roof caused by the roof tarp not being secured correctly.

Since it was starting to rain and the wind was picking up, I had to quickly put shingle pieces on the roof to hold the tarp down.

Since I arranged this through the insurance company's preferred vendor, please arrange for someone to come out and fix this quickly before water leaks into the house. And this time, they should use a thicker tarp as the tarps they used are very light and there are tears in all the tarps.

Please give this some urgent attention.

      Thanks,

The temporary tarp was installed per industry CAT standards during the ******************************** It is documented that there were several high wind storms in the local area after the installation of the temporary tarp.  Cinergy is not responsible for displacement of a tarp due to high winds. The photos clearly show the tarp sustained wind damage.   We did reach out to the carrier for approval to re-tarp the home on behalf of the homeowner. the request was not honored.  We do not "estimate" our jobs or determine the charges on these types of claims.  ************* carrier tells us what they will pay us based on computer software.  The pricing is controlled by the carrier and all payments are approved by the adjuster and paid directly to us from the carrier.   Unless we receive a new assignment from the carrier there  is nothing else for us to do concerning this claim.

      Sincerely,

      Complaint: 18839096

I am certain that CAT standards do not recommend tacking down only 3 of the four sides of the roof as you stated. Wind damage occurred because of incorrect tarp installation. Had it been installed correctly, there would have been no wind issues as evidenced by the rest of the roof.

Since this company is clearly avoiding responsibility for their error, I have been advised to take this to small claims court next.

      Sincerely,
