We hired Weston ***************************** to move our personal belongings on July 22, 2024 and multiple things went wrong. We did everything under our power to mediate a fair solution with them but have only received broken promises for over 3 weeks now. Our condo only allows elevator reservations from specific times and we specifically asked to start and 8:30am but they did not show up until 10:30am. The truck they used was full of wholes and when it rained many of our items including furniture, clothing and art got damaged and their main contact has done nothing more than provide false timelines and brake promises. We were left with thousands of dollars in damages and in good faith paid their service fees And even tipped their crew to learn that they have no intentions to make this situation right for us.Business response

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the recent move. Unfortunately, the driver became ill and we did have to bring in a replacement driver causing a slight delay in arrival. We did not attempt to charge for the time we were not there. That day, the rain was extremely bad and although we did everything we could to protect the items, the designated place to park the truck provides no shelter. We did settle the claim with Mr. **** and confirmed with him that it has been done.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The damages to our belongings were not caused by not having shelter on the premises but due to the fact that their truck had multiple holes where water leaked during transport and offload.
we have not settled in any way shape of form. So far we have submitted evidence where moving company promised to cover cleaning cost close that we have already paid for $499 and one of their employees sent $160 dollars so far. We have also discovered that one of our large TVs as damaged and we have damage in excess of $3000 as of today.

The destination that Mtr. **** went to is Tao. Trucks must park outside of the garage, about 50 feet of a walk to get under cover. During the move, it was raining and while we do try to prevent things from getting wet, rain is an Act of God that no one can control. ************ submitted cleaning bills which he was reimbursed for. After receiving this, ************ disputed the charges on his credit card along with receiving close to $500.00 from our Company. Since a Mover has limited liability, the payout was well above what is covered however it was not sufficient. Unfortunately, we did everything we promised and took a loss on the move total along with paying for cleaning due to things out of our control.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Weston Movers did not even cover the cost of cleaning our our couch and bed headboard. The chief complaint here is all the losses that we suffered including hundreds in stained and unsalvageable clothing, a broken 65 inch TV, art work, etc. this amounts to thousands not hundreds and the other issue here is the unwillingness to properly assess the damages caused by the faulty truck owned and operated by Weston movers that leaked all the water into our belongings and the continued efforts to deflect responsibility and address the issues line any reputable business would.
We have done everything under our power to provide evidence and communicate in an effective and respectful manner and to date we only received excuses.

We have been told about wet clothing and sofa. The receipt in the photo for the dry cleaners does not even match the amount requested for us to pay. We did in favt pay the clraning as we agreed to and the messages that ************ only speaks of the wet items. There was no discussion of artwork nor a television. Again, the rain was horrensous that day and the truck had to park about 50 feet away from the entry. I am confused what exactly is being asked of us at this point? I am not arguing nor avoiding any topics, but the amount of the move was already disputed and $500 paid. What am I missing?Initial Complaint

We at Weston Moving and Storage take Customer concerns extremely serious and attempt to remedy all issues immediately. It is disheartening when a damage occurs, and certainly not our intention. In this instance, **************** was offered more than our liability limit is and this was refused. He also said he would call to discuss this further the next day and did not. We will make sure to contact him this week and settle the claim and update this complaint with all documentation as well. We apologize in advance for any miscommunication that *** have been and want to ensure we will be in touch this week.
